The name ayahuasca is a compound word in Quechua language, where aya means soul, ancestors or dead persons and wasca (huasca) means vine or rope Therefore, the most prevalent translation of the word is “vine of the soul”….
Dmt is the acting alkaloid , you can buy this in pure form and smoke it as well , but when pure it is faster acting and super strong , BUT SHORT AND LAST 15 mins peak , and 5 minutes come down .
yeah his explanation was not the best. ayahuasca is a tea with two active ingredients, dmt, and another that allows your body to break down and experience the dmt. i think it lasts around 10-12 hours but people traditionally do it for like 3 days to a week consecutively with a shaman to guide them and make sure they stay alive
