  • From wild horses to rafting, golfing, and museums, Sundre is a great place to explore and a highlight of the Cowboy Trail, a popular Alberta road trip.
    Located less than two hours from Calgary, Sundre is the perfect place for anywhere from a day trip, a weekend, or a full-on road trip adventure. It has a great vibe, a wonderful museum, awesome golfing, and tons of surrounding wilderness, which is perfect for horseback riding, rafting, admiring wild horses, or taking ATV's to the top of mountains.
    So whether you're looking for small-town charm or a mix of "city comforts" and wild backcountry, Sundre should be on your Alberta bucket list!
    For more information what we did and what to do in Sundre on your next trip, check out our article at www.mustdocanada.com/things-t...

    I felt bad for the animals at the museum especially that they're displayed in a crowded way. However, felt better when you talked about your mixed feelings and your reminder that we eat meat and these displayed animals are good for education. RESPECT ✌️❤️

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks! Even saying educational purposes is mixed feelings for me. They did explain that for hunting in Africa for example, the real hunters who pay big money, help stop poachers who cause much more damage. Still, it's tough for me, especially when it's not even for food. I don't know how someone can do it to be honest. It's not for us, and even with farm meat, we are slowly trying to slow our consumption.

    She said I would never want to be this close to a alive grizzly bear... I recommend u guys visit Boo the bear at Kicking horse mountain ski resort Golden BC. Its worth the visit. Would make a great video too. For a small extra fee u get the gondola and chairlift ride to see Boo in his enclosure.. Boo is a rescued wild bear that they couldnt return in nature. Hes amazing surely u will see up close in the morning... hes not camera shy. Great channel by the way I'm a subscriber I've watched most of all your videos... Love from Leduc Alberta

    I grew up only an hour away from here. This area is my second home. Every summer we'd take our horses out there to camp and ride. Too bad you didn't check out the other golf course just outside of Sundre. Forest Heights Golf course. It was my husband's home growing up on their farm. In 1995 my father in law turned it into an 18 hole golfcourse. They even have camping spots there now.

      @@MustDoCanada Haven't crossed it off the list. It is on the outer limits of my plan though, so, not likely. Do you think you could guess at how many staff were running the place? Was it full, busy?

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  Před 2 lety

      Don't remember but they only have 4-5 small cabins I think and mostly its RVers. A little restaurant and of course, the horseback. I mean just for the camping and cabin portion, probably 3-4. But toss in the horses and what not, maybe another 2-3

    • @blackopal3138
      @blackopal3138 Před 2 lety

      @@MustDoCanada Cabins? I had to look at it again. They are using the business as a selling point, but it's just listed as a house. An 11 bedrm, 6 bathrm house, lol. They don't mention cabins or horses though, they might n be included. I believe the family runs it. I'm looking closer at it, it's a really good deal actually. I need a home and a separate retail/commercial building, which I'd build on the site, and I was thinking of a few mini cabins as well. The lodge biz, well, that's the thing. It compliments the bizzes I'd be bringing, I could manage it all, but idk if I could run it all by myself, with a contract cleaner. Office and kitchen, no problem for such a small place. Idk! lol.
      Bc, I wasn't looking for a biz, that's why I asked, I was just brainstorming whether I could add it to the plan. It has best reviews in town, comes up fist on google, it seems a waste to shut it down. The owners are obviously prepared for that though.
      Tx for the info, appreciate it. If I buy it, u got a free night, on the lodge;) Oh, lol, reminded me, booking sites say $139 for 2 people, is that what u guys pay?
      peace
