When purchasing a vehicle, a lot of ppl forget about insurance. Make sure you are getting quotes BEFORE purchasing the vehicle. This prevents sticker shocks and to plan accordingly.

I used to be an insurance agent and the amount of parents who bought their 17 year olds Chargers and Challengers would come in AFTER purchase and find out adding them to their insurance would increase it to +400 more on top of their monthly payment. So yes contact your insurance agent before purchasing!!
Always ask if you can get the plates, title, tabs included in the listing price. So then you don’t have to go to the DMV and pay even more to register your car.

One caveat to the prequalification & monthly payment disclosure: it could work in your favor to disclose sometimes especially if you tell them you've already been approved at a competing dealership for a better monthly payment (just watch the loan repayment timeline!) bc they'll want to beat their price. This is how I got a dealer to come down thousands of dollars on my new SUV. I'd say this also only works if you apply your other tip of being willing to walk away bc that's the only way you'll have leverage!

You do not need to be having major problems in order to see a therapist, they can help you communicate better, and figure out your compatibility too!
I think a tip as well is to know what you want your out the door price to be. You can say you want the car for $34k but then the tax, transfer of tag or new tag, and other fees could easily make that a $40l vehicle. If you say you want the vehicle at $36k out the door with all included it can make the dealer sweat more and actually run all the numbers to tell you there best out the door price.

Luckily i have no debt either, but at 25, I'm starting off with not much. Once i start my new corporate job, i want to get on track to saving for a house. Especially since the only thing in my name is my Toyota rav4 (undergrad gift)
I would suggest get a 401k loan for your car. This way you will pay interest to your 401k account instead of someone else. Also, you can take loan of 50K every year and your loan will be for 5 years. So, if your interest rate is higher still you will save money. This is just a suggestion. This might very and you can ask someone from 401k account.
