Bought a Passport EX-L a month ago and loving it so far. I think the only reason to go with the Pilot instead is if you need that 3rd row seat. My kids are grown so this works best for us.

Gold Pony, I love your reviews. I've been researching vehicles for months intending to buy later this spring. Yours are the go-to videos for clear and concise information. This is a compliment, as you provide the 'everyman' review - complete for those not wanting too much technical detail but with sufficient practical observations. Great job. The Honda Passport is now in my list of vehicles to test drive.

I just purchased a 2021 Passport EX-L. I am very happy with it. I am one of those people who only buys Honda. Have never had one bit of trouble. I selected the Passport over the Pilot just because I think the Pilot is really ugly in the rear. I plan to keep my Passport for a very long time.

I love my Passport! Chose it because I don’t need a third row, at this time and I wanted an SUV and am a loyal Honda customer! As a young professional, this seemed the perfect choice. My impression is the pilot is more of a family car, the CR-V is more of an older person’s car, and the passport seemed perfect for a younger car buyer who wants a Honda SUV!

I am always a honda fan... my first car was a manual accord. Currently, my wife has an odyssey. In fact I want to sell my truck to buy an suv and I'm looking at either the 2021-2023 hyundai santa fe or a 2019-2022 honda passport. I really like these but seeing the santa fe and how much cool tech and luxury they offer, makes me a bit frustrated that honda gives us a very reliable car but falls short in some areas like a digital cluster, a proper infotainment system and lacks in quality interior options. Our odyssey has given us lots of trouble with its software glitches, left rear door not working, static sounds when a phone is connected and completely shutting off so you can't use anything on the screen. Besides that, we constantly have error messages and warning lights that just don't go away. I'm looking at getting the passport but I'm also a bit nervous about have those same issues again. If the passport had the interior look of that generation santa fe, it would be a no brainer for me.

Would really like oil and transmission temp gauges in addition to the fuel level and cooling system temp. I like the smaller form factor so the vehicle can fit the smaller parking spaces found in many locations. Lots of after market stuff available Passports for rough road and camping applications. I have a MDX and almost never need the 3rd row, but I get to take it with me everywhere I go, and use premium fuel too. I like having no gratuitous graphics like the Ridgeline has on some of its packages. Graphics don't save me one pint of gas or make the vehicle more reliable. I have not driven the Pilot, but have driven the Passport and really liked it, and your review was accurate in my opinion.

Like the interior and auto is super nice. Don't like there's no shifter anymore-
Not thrilled with the colors this year. impossible to find a touring or an elite. It seems a little bit high up in the back for putting things in it like I would put my bicycle in there -when compared to my current CRV. Tail lights do look like they are too small for visibility/safety.I might buy a 22 model if they have better colors. I assume they're going to do a redesign in 23 or drop it entirely because They don't seem to be popular. But I generally like things other people don't.
Looking for a luxury but utility vehicle that I can actually take up to the mountains off the roadAnd load it up with bike/other outdoor gear.
