Never watched the show/film, but i have a theory as to why he can act as he does, despite the circumstances. His mind is probably in the same state as it was when he fell into the coma. Given his age, when his mind was reawakened, his mind is simply attempting to catch up with his body. In addition, given how the body remembers certain events that come to pass for the individual, it will remember the accelerated brain processing, thus basically granting him semi-super human thought processing, alongside accelerated recovery time.

@@peteralexandra7899 No worries, yes it a very substantial effect. I was inoxic and suffered a brain injury. Also, my lungs, heart, liver, and kidneys all started failing. I came whisper close to checking out for good. I couldn't lift my arms or move my legs when I emerged from the coma. I experienced a severe altered mental status too. I "dreamed" experiences that i couldn't separate from reality. For instance, I saw the world series played in Cozamel and had one of the best vacations of my life. Except they don't play baseball in Cozamel and certainly not the world series. I had a new truck and was furious with family and friends who told me it never happened. I went hunting wild horses in Alaska with my 78 year old father and brought them to his ranch in New Hampshire. I've never been to New Hampshire and neither has my father. But I sincerely believes these things and still recall them to this day as "real" memories. I also had a houseboat on the lake! It was really, really nice and I enjoyed fishing from it. I can recall conversations with friends and coworkers that never happened. And I was ANGRY. I was hated by the hospital staff and I don't blame them. I was a HORRIBLE patient. I am particularly grateful that they were such kind, understanding people, but I certainly made it difficult for them.

I swear in every hospital scene movies. When a guy wakes up from a coma theres always a nurse having an unnecessary screaming. Like waking up in a coma is unnatural. Sometimes people just wakes up. Screaming in a dam hospital just causes disturbance. They're not fit to be a nurse if they can't handle that thriller or a natural activity of what a human body could do.
