RUSTIC FABRIC BOOK - SLOW STITCHING

In this video I create a mini Fabric Book and slow stitch on the pages. I am not really someone who sews, so much of this was very new to me. This is part of a collaboration with @texturejunkies8780 and @TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia The theme for this collaboration was 'Fabric' as set by me. Your little rows of stitching remind me of sashiko... the Japanese art of repairing fabric with geometrical designs to strengthen it. This wee journal is delightful Kylie! xx

I am not sure, but it looks like your thread is twisted. You can hold the book up and let the needle and thread untwist. It will help with the knotting. I really like how you slow stitched this together. It really looks great.💜⛟💜⛟💜

Try pulling your thread over a candle if you want it to pass through this sort of fabric more easily

Yes of course Kath - why didn’t I think of that! I use wax (or waxed thread) when I am making journals so it makes sense with fabric as well. Thanks for taking the time to keep me right 💗
