He has no filters on saying how things are, no matter if it's not flattering even to himself, gotta respect that. One the most sane & down to earth famous people ever to live.
Lemmy could tell me that I'm boring to my face and I would definitely agree. I don't want to live the life that he's lived. But I can sit around with a friend and talk about him, and I can appreciate that he lived that life. He's absolutely correct, we need outrageous people. And I know my life is better because Lemmy and his music continues to be a part of it. RIP Mr. Kilmister, and thank you.
Deep down though Lem was a pretty normal bloke. Sure he did drugs, but so did all the rock stars back then. But you never heard about him bashing anyone, or stealing, or vandalising anything, there was never really bad press about him, unlike a lot of rock stars people look up to today.
Spot on if you were having fun,you wouldn't be talking about other's. Lemmy just summed up social media rubbish in one sentence. Instagram wouldn't exist if people actually had a life!
Yeah... my conclusion is anyone on SM is a loose(er). they aren't having fun, they're pretending to be having fun. I know I'm on the terrible YT site.... but I have ZERO SM besides the odd comment on no-fun-tube.
@@MattHadder not in the same context as the other self important rubbish, posting about yourself and your fake life all day!
@@MattHadder ... do you realise you suffer from entitlement, plus a belief you're smart and inciteful. No ? ... it's a statement of fact.
Our son is smart, at 31yr old he is a Dr of Methematical Physics, which he became after leaving an army following his two fiull combat tours of Afghanistan.
At 30 yr old, our Daughter a Dr of Sociology
My wife a Dr of Psychology who advises various governmentson social policies
Myself I am a retired war fighter, political scientist, economist and owner of multiple businesses.
You however are just a little boy ... B*tching on social media .... Try to grow up. Run along now.
Sorry he’s gone. Wish he was still around. One of the few genuine people there was going.
Lemmy still more alive than most... although he's dead for a while now...
LEGEND!
Lemmy always kept it real and he wasn't trying, he was just Lemmy. Miss him.
Lemmy just got it. He had an innate understanding of what it meant to be a rock star. No bullshit, no faking it. The man just lived his life, and fuck you if you don't like it.
You know nothing about being a rockstar shut your mouth and go back to work
Lemmy's cousin knocked on my door one morning in Caithness Scotland. He was looking for the hamlet of Killimster just 2 miles from my house. It was the ancestral home of Lemmy. Its where Lemmy's name is derived from. Lemmy knew nothing about this, according to his cousin, who'd driven 15 hours overnight from London to find the place. Trivial but true!
Very wise words from Lemmy
His words are so true .........................
What a lovely, honest bloke. Too few of them in the world.
completely agree with lemmy
Lemmy was was living embodiment of rock and roll.
Still got my 7" red vinyl single of Iron Fist, got it in Folkstone Market in 1982 along with a fantastic compilation album called "Live And Heavy"
Lemmy was the definition of cool
Mr Rock n roll!!! Lemmy forever!!!
I'm so happy that I got to see Motorhead live 6 times.
Spot on
"Bringing your kids on tour is the first sign of death." LOL
Lemmy always on point
One band I absolutely wish I’d seen
he is absolutly right
right on.
Because Lemmy is just interesting to listen too his way of thinking his philosophy on everything. Tells it the way it is straightforward there's no BS with him they do have hit tunes but the corporate suits in the music world don't want recognize it. If it's not radio friendly they don't care but they know nothing about music with the crap they sign up all they do is sit in meetings or go to the golf clubs to sign deals to fill there pockets.
I thought he was going to live forever
I’m 60 and the best show I saw was Ozzy and Def Leppard
Blizzard of Oz
I have seen at least 10 bands and that show was the best by far
I saw def leppard support acdc Manchester Apollo think 1978 def were good then before they got,I think soft with pour some sugar on me etc,Sabbath were awesome
R.I.P. Mr. Kilmister.
"..they bring there kids on tour with them, that's the other sign of death"
Love it.
The last real rockstar
Motörhead is the delta force of old metal.
Year
Right On , Lemmy 🕶️🤙🏆 , °): EADG 🔊💥💨🎶
lemmy pretty lit up, mikkey dee seems straight. that wheeze by lemmy tho, he smoked for 59 years, how he got to 70... some pretty good genes.
Smoked, lol. He drank a bottle of Jack a day, so much so he got sugar diabetes in his 60’s from the coke, so he drank vodka and orange after that. He did more acid and speed than anyone alive. He could have died at 60 and been kept alive by all the residual chemicals in his body. He was a one of a kind.
1:57 The bus would probably be covered in crayon and orange juice for a change .
Just the real Rock n Roll Legend x
rip lem
People wonder why he would roll his eyes and answer questions the way he did, but look at the kind of questions he was always asked 🙄
Despite so much of that comradery he speaks of, few rock bands showed any loyalty to their bandmates. Queen and U2 are perhaps the best examples of bands that remained loyal to each other. But otherwise you would search a long time for that kind of comradery in rock.
AC/DC. Rolling Stones. Foo Fighters have had 3 drummers, one was fired, but had Taylor for 20+ years. Even Motorheads line up was pretty consistent with Lem, Mikkee and Phil for decades.
Well there is family and business and you can’t muddy the 2 to be successful.
The coolest bad father ever....sad.
Who would win in a fight between Lemmy and God? Trick question. Lemmy is GOD!!!!!!!
Mick farren though ..
He is my hero. I drank a litre of Jack Daniels a day, it's hard-core constantly drunk. FYI I'm on my 2nd bottle of wine 🍷. LEM
Lemmy didn't give a fuck.
Posh people love gangsters.
Stating the obvious. I thought Lemmy would have given a more intelligent answer. I liked the band as preformers, but cmon Lemmy, I thought you could have came up with a less condescending answer than that. RIP
Not really that impressed with him but to each their own lol.
Yep, tight af, or nothing.
look at his pupils dilated
hes fucked up
LEGEND
yeah, all alcoholics with loads of drug money are "outrageous"
Lemmy wasn’t an alcoholic, and Lemmy didn’t really have loads of money for someone who grafted for 40 years, but he didn’t need lots of money, and probably didn’t want it. He loved rock and roll, and was a pretty normal bloke.
Good to hear Lemmy. Wish he was still with us.
Met Lemmy one night in the old London Marquee club in Wardour Street in London before the Marquee club moved to Charing Cross road . I’m sure it was a Dumpys rusty nuts gig..cool band back in the day and my friend nudged me and said …looks who’s over there and we went straight over . Introduced ourselves and asked if we could buy him a drink !
What a gentleman lemmy was , so easy to talk to and as we had seen them at the Glasgow Apollo ( long gone ) we discussed that gig and he was very appreciative of our praise etc ! Bought him a drink and he thanked us and we gave him space as everyone one was staring and trying to get near ! Great guy , I was 20 at the time and I’m now 59 so it’s a great memory! RIP Lemmy Kilminster.
