Bruins fan in Canada. I have watch this series on the CBC. They've decided everyone across Canada is a Leaf fan, and have been commentating the games accordingly. Jack calling this is like music to me.
I'm a Bruins fan too from Canada living in Ontario in between Toronto and Buffalo and I agree it's ridiculous that the TV networks here assume that everyone is a Leaf fan when there are fans of the Sabres, Canadiens, Bruins, Senators etc.
It also shows in games that are broadcasted here zero Sabres games on MSG are broadcasted and every leaf game is even though I live slightly closer to Buffalo. Since there is blackout restrictions too you can't get other Canadian teams games on TSN or Sportsnet most of the time during the regular season unless they are on Saturday night
CBC still beats out the Trash NBC calls. I was lucky enough to watch 2013 SCF game 1-3 on HNIC. Now that was amazing. They blow doors off NBC. Doc is awesome. Just the production and intermission reports were brutal watches. I even caught Grapes on Coaches Corner haha.
Khaosreign82a1 I don't really get the bad rap NBC gets, esp. among Bruins fans. I don't mind at least their play by play guys at all (Millbury and Pierre can get annoying, of course).

Thanks for posting. I can't get NESN and my favorite color men once the playoff starts. Found out for some stupid reason I can't even get a NESN streaming outside of New England. I have been a Bruins fan since I was 9. We got a table top hockey game with those twisting rods. It also came with the original 6 stickers that you could put on the metal players. My older brother took NY Rangers and I took the B's. Rochester was their farm club at the time. Yes from and back there. After college I moved to CT and got WSBK on my cable. I was hooked and the Whalers where in Hartford then. The Hartford stadium was great. It was a 2 level mall around the arena. NHL store and a really fine restaurants and bars. Have some great food and drinks before the game. The best part was the upper 3rd of the stadium was all Bruin's fans. They would bus them in from Boston. Freaking fun. I saw Cam Neely play Montreal in one of the last games at the old garden games. I have been to the new stadium and the 2011 cup win. Bucket list complete!!!

Boston's first goal may have well come from game 2 . Even the American announcers were caught by surprise that Toronto was getting a penalty.

Look for the empty netter in Colorado v St. Louis in the final game of the regular season last year 😂 obviously that game had more importance to the Avs but still, there was a dogpile on the ice & on the bench

I ended up DVRing both to make sure and Jack and Brick were calling last night's game. I know non-Bruins fans hate Jack but he is a Bruins announcer...not an NHL announcer. I just hate the fact that NESN doesn't get the later series too. Partly because it's a familiarity thing and partly because I'm not a fan of the NBC play by play call.
Steve : Part of the deal the league makes with the tv people has always had the clause that they get the last rounds exclusively. Right now I believe it's the final four. And all the teams signed off on it.
