The only reason I disagree with Mike Rowe is that the trades wages are falling due to unchecked “workers” entering the country. Instead of hiring one American, they hire three of them for the same cost. The result is that it’s getting harder to get a job in the trades and the wages have fallen almost by half in my 20 years in construction. Plus the work is super shoddy due to lack of communication and skills.
