Being British, these titles will forever remind me of that sweet time between watching children's programmes after school and having to have my tea or do my homework during the news.

This was definitely the best years of home and away back in the 90's which I really enjoyed as growing up hardly did I ever miss an episode

Especially love the shots of Joey. What a wholesome character.

The shot with Mitch on his own is extremely bizarre. I recognise all the shots bar that one.

H&A and neighbours were massive shows in the uk back then.

Neighbours and also Hollyoaks which is a teen soap opera which airs on Channel 4 in the UK also use the Characters for their opening titles , but Hollyoaks does not use the Characters names and the actor's playing than appearing on screen. not sure how many people in australia have seen Hollyoaks .

These credits are so weird. Can't Pippa and Sally hang their washing at home? Don't Shannon and Selina know you're meant to point the fishing rods towards the water? Where did Alex plug that TV into? Who brought a massive picture frame onto the beach? Did Travis really drag that bed onto the beach with Rebecca in it? When did Rebecca, Shannona and Selina form a girl group? Who hung apples on the beach? What was with that totally out-of-place Duncan shot? How did Natalie change her face? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!

brilliant vid and it was very well edited- some strange alternative shots of Chole and Sam which I didn't realise happened. also adding to @thewatchermark comments- how on earth did Alex and Shannon get a working tv to the beach - and what was powering it? Did Shannon get a huge extension cord down to the beach via the caravan park- no wonder alex left in a hurry in 96- Shannon must have blamed him for the electric bill to Pippa!!!

Although I've never watched an episode of Home and Away, I clearly remember this late 1990s intro (later variants, presumably) from my early childhood. Oh, the nostalgia!

There were two incarnations of these credits. The more colouful ones (like Pippa and Sally together) and then the ones with the weird lighting and contrast (like Sally, Irene, Chloe solo). I prefer the first version. They made more sense and were theatrical. The coloring of the 2nd version is awful and the characters were mostly solo. The black strip at the top and bottom was awful too. The 2nd version scenes were quicker and felt rushed. Mitch's is scary lol.

Why did the first Natalie have a bandage round her throat? 🧐. I also found it ironic that Alf and Alisa were laughing hysterically in the opening credits when they the most miserable characters ever! 😂

Majority of Caucasians that live in Australia are originally from England and have been settling in Australia for centuries as many were convicts and were shipped from the UK to Australia and in the 1960s due to technology changing and improving many jobs were not so many opportunities many left in the UK and many English went to Australia for next to nothing many left and settled in Australia ,the land belongs to the Aborigines the indigneos people of the land.
