I remember Kelly Cutrone from the Hills. Man I was 14 and thinking this is ONE heck of a bosss. I love how she still wears all black. My love for all black came from Kelly.

I think Lauren ended up on 250k an ep with a deal she would earn the most. She left when should could have gotten 300k plus but put her money into business ventures and reputation in tact.

She was so hated on TV but I always gravitate to women like this in the workplace, once you break down that general hate they have for ppl and callousness , you can learn so much from them, and these are the women who will get you to where you wanna go. They usually hold high positions and are extremely over worked. You get in their good graces by showing consistency in your work & being respectful, not by kissing ass. They can spot fakensss from miles away 😅

The issue is and this issue is prevalent in the entertainment industry is that only a handful of people actually decide who gets to be a popular actor or reality star, musician or producer, they hand out the yay and the nay and it's not necessarily based on talent or track record. They hold the money so if they tell ppl not to hire or work with someone they are going to do so because they want to be paid. And the powers that be can simply do it because they dont like you or are biased towards you or a certain group of people. I know of this one rap artist who is beautiful talented and gorgeous but the masses will never know about her because an a&r exec stopped her everytime she tried to do something and she and several others have said it's because she refused to sleep with him. Nene is a polarizing character so people arent going to take her seriously or take the time to figure out what she's saying.

@LoveI just looked it up. The Sopranos had average of 18 MILLION viewers per week. The Hills had 2 Million. Idk what Kelly was talking about 🤣 perhaps im missing something.
I was a huge fan of the hills. It was huge in the late 2000’s I think she meant reality tv show wise lol no way getting rating higher over tv sex and the city and the sopranos

Well tbh getting like 20k an episode when the show isn't really about you isn't bad. I feel like that's appropriate, the show isn't focused on you so of course the main stars are getting more. IDK why would you expect to be getting paid what the main ppl are getting paid!

I think the interviewer started really looking uncomfortable when Kelly started talking about talking/boasting about making money. Every sentence, the amount grew. When she mentioned being able to easily afford a $30,000 painting, the lady didn't know how to respond because she obviously could no longer relate to the person she was interviewing.
Can someone fact check those ratings she stated in the beginning ...I can believe the part about the HBO shows (that’s not a good comparison), but highest rated cable show of all time???? ETA - she’s spot on about Bravo...
It may have been the highest-rated at the time, 2007ish. Cable shows didn't quite have the power of, say, Game of Thrones yet.
