Love all the updates, especially the internal divider zipper, was about time they did that! Definitely plan on upgrading from my older Langly Alpha Pro.

I've been using a BAGSMART amazon camera bag and I love the versatility but it is bulky and I am looking for a new bag, I see the AG first gen is on sale right now but I lose the side pocket, I've grown accustomed to. I was wondering does the first generation come with a tripod holder at the bottom of the bag like the second generation? Also would you recommend this bag for an inexpensive option? I just came from you're recommended bags of 2023 video and it got me looking

Hi, would you recommend the Langly Alpha Pro Camera Backpack in 2022 for around $70? Am looking for a good camera bag that isn't going to break the bank 😐

    Hi great video!
I was wondering if the side pockets are padded in some sorf of way?
And if it is posslbe to use the front camera access as a quick access? its not ideal but is it possible to get a camera out withou to much hassle?
    kind regards; Ferdinand

hi! no the pockets are not padded.
yeah you can kind of reach around to quick access grab it, but its kinda akward and not ideal

@@kean4582 I sold it and got a Shimoda one, overall IMO Shimoda is much better than Langly on camera backbag design, suggest you to check it out.

@@horace0119 aw, i like this design. But i’ll check the shimoda one too! Just a question, what didn’t you like in the Langly bag or why did you prefer the Shimoda?

    • @horace0119
      @horace0119 Před 2 lety +3

@@kean4582 OK, these might be only my personal preference, so a perfect camera backpack to me MUST satisfy some of my needs:
      1. it must be able to stand itself - Langly does
      2. materials must not look cheap - the materials on Langly just look like a "harder" Jansport, which I most dislike (mine was a Forest color one)
      3. it must have a place for a water bottle - Langly does have 2 side pockets, but they are just less design
      4. it's better to be waterproof, at least water resistance - Langly does
      5. it must have many compartments and organizers - Langly's biggest weakness
      6. it must be comfortable - Shimoda seems to be the top1 choice by far
      7. it must be nice-looking - Langly one is too wide, I think it would suit people with muscles (I am 181cm but relatively slim)
      8. it's better to have the side-open quick access function - Langly just loses one point again
      9. it's better to have a luggage pass-through - Langly does have it
      Other downsides of Langly: (IMO)
      1. I personally think it's way too much overpriced (if compared to the Shimoda series in terms of design and materials)
      2. The zippers aren't smooth at all
      3. The protection for laptop doesn't seem reliable to me
      4. Not comfortable for a long time using
If you really wanna go for Langly, please don't choose Forest, the first moment my wife saw it, she just said "it's the most cheap-looking backpack you have ever bought", but honestly, I never saw other colors.
I am now using a Shimoda X30, and I am really glad I chose it for some reasons:
      1. Many days going out with fully loaded gear, I can still feel comfortable (I even didn't use the hip strap)
      2. I like the side pocket quick access design like PDs(I owned a PD before)
      3. Roll-top design kills me (the reason I didn't choose Shimoda Explore v2)
      4. The hip strap is also well designed
      5. The front pockets are surprisingly useful
      6. It fulfills all my wants listed in section 1 except #9 (but there's a trick for it)
Again, it's all my personal preferences, just for your reference.
Here are some brands that I am also interested in:
      - Wotancraft (Taiwanese brand): I have a 7L Pilot sling bag and it's nice, also I am from Taiwan :D
      - compagnon (German brand)
      Hope my experience helps.

    • @epants1212
      @epants1212 Před 2 lety +1

Hey mate, same question ive got. I found in one youtube review that i can easily slide a 16 inch mbp. It looks like you can also put on the sleeve and chuck it inside of it. By the way, im considering this for the fact that it can fit a 16inch plus sleeve. Hope this helps. It looks good too.
