- I’m going to give you some core differences between the type of love we see expressed in society, the culture and world compared to the love that is taught in the Bible. A surprising twist has to do with the endgame of how love has been distorted in the name of happiness.

Love does not rejoice at wrong-doing, but it rejoices with the truth (1 Corinthians 13,6 ESV)
Amen!
"Love holds no record of wrongs"
"The books were opened and the dead were judged according to their works".
Explain that contradiction.
@@storba3860 How is this a contradiction? What verses are you quoting? Do you understand the context of both of those verses?
@@storba3860 That is not a contradiction it is a difference in the time periods. Today, because of Israel rejecting their Messiah, there is a different plan to redeem man. A plan since the beginning of time. By faith alone in Christ's fulfilling of Scripture, dying and resurrecting, the shed blood, we are completely forgiven all sin. But before that time was the administration of the Law of Moses and Gentiles were shut out from the plan to redeem, only Jews were in. The Jews were to then at the end of time judged by their works. Some would go into the Kingdom and receive eternal life. The plan then would be for them to bring the Gentile nations to the Messiah. So both of your statements are true. But only one is for us by the obedience of faith and faith alone. One other thing about these plans of God, there are some similarities between them but it is not that difficult to distinguish between them by the context of the scriptures. Unfortunately the most of Christiandom is misled and blind to context. The bible can be misused and become a tool of God's enemies.
Try reading the same verse in the KJV
An aspect of Biblical love that few people talk about, is that it is sacrificial. You have to die to yourself, to truly love. If you are self first, you can't be kind, or patient, or love your enemy. The world teaches people to be selfish, so they all want to be loved, but they don't want to give love. They are unwilling to make the sacrifice to love.
This reminds me how many years ago when my daughter was very rebellious and I was trying to learn to love her as God would have me to. It came to me that love didn’t mean giving in to her wants, but rather giving to her needs. So grateful that our Father teaches us by His Spirit how to walk in His love.
Would you endlessly torture your wayward child?
Through reading the Bible I've realised just how perfect the love of God is. A love that's unconditional but also stands for justice and righteousness. Never wavering. Always forgiving when there's repentence. Always patient and full of grace. The way God loves is our model. Seeing how God loves shows how flawed our love and concept of love is as humans. Our love is usually selfish and conditional.
Justice for who? What crime can you commit against a God? There's literally nothing you can do to harm a God and if there is that means it's impossible to even end up damned. Unless of course your God needs to send people to Hell in which case good luck figuring out how to avoid the threat.
@@storba3860We dont need luck. We have Jesus.
@@storba3860yeah, damnation is complicated. But i think the main point is "you don't own yourself". From this starting point maybe you can comprehend it.
Love is Love, God is everywhere in everything (so, why do I need church?), Coexist, God loves me just the way I am, so why should I change? My love is my truth; I'm not hurting anyone ....and, the list goes on referencing the things I've heard over the years. 🙅🤦Thank you Melissa for articulating the truth about love! God bless you always!
Nailed it 😂 its terrifying.
You had me worried there until I hit read more. I hear that new age nonsense all the time.
Yep. Pedophiles tell their victims that “they love them” so as to manipulate and molest and abuse them. Use ONLY God’s definition and demonstration to define love. Even earthly parents, families, and friends, fail in loving well, apart from Christ Jesus. Love requires the truth, not deception.
@@jeremybrooks7415
Me, too. I was really concerned for him until I kept reading. A sigh of relief came from me.
Nie ma mojej prawdy.
I think that the world's or culture's definition of love and compassion, is a "Trojan Horse" being used by the adversary to smuggle wicked ideology into the church.
I remember seeing signs that read, “Love your neighbor. Wear your mask.” I see that as manipulation to the max.
“Deserve forgiveness” is a phrase that keeps coming up when the world talks about dealing with sin. They’ll say their love isn’t transactional, but the fact that they phrase forgiveness as something to be deserved (like the unmerciful servant) says it all. Same with redemption. Characters in movies have to “deserve redemption” even though the point of redemption is that you’re restored after doing something you know should never allow a second chance for you.
The concepts of sin and absolution and penance are understood in secular terms…but they have no secular equivalent of grace.
Your whole religion says nobody's irredeemable. Stop complaining that people actually believed the nonsense you sold them.
@@storba3860 nobody is irredeemable, but that is because God offered redemption to all. You are not entitled to it, you chose sin and God is not obligated to bail you out, but he does anyway.
To use an analogy. Nobody's irredeemable is like saying no one is denied bail when arrested. But a parent can choose to leave their punk kid in jail over night, they don't have to pay the bail.
beautiful words from you, and a very good analogy. Thank you!
There were some who did not accept the Truth, and had Him killed. But the Truth arose in 3 days.

I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed forever. I'm a single mother living in Vancouver Canada, bought my first house in October and hoping to retire soon if things keep going smoothly for me.
Am looking for something to venture into on a short term basis, I really need to create an alternate source of income, what do you think I should be buying?

This was so helpful 😊. It is very difficult to define or understand love if one grows up in a violent household, with violence or neglect all around. The only love I have truly experienced is THE LOVE OF JESUS!
Tanna, I am sorry for what you were subjected to in your childhood. My parents constantly sent me mixed messages about what Christian love was. I became deeply resentful, but later realized all that was born out of ignorance. And their own pain as children. Understanding some of the dynamics was not and is not a panacea for the years of damage. Like you, I know that God’s love for me is real love. This world is not our home, trouble will never end. How do we live out our time on earth in spite of that reality? The love of God is our confidence. May the love of God fill all your hours with the peace that passes all understanding.
At least nine Greek words for Love:
1 Eros (romantic, passionate love)
2 Philia (affectionate love)
3 Agape (selfless, universal love)
4 Storge (familiar love)
5 Mania (obsessive love)
6 Ludus (playful love)
7 Pragma (enduring love)
8 Philautia (self love)
9 Xenia (hospitality)
Hebrew has 10 words.
Melissa, I Love your words, thanks ! 🙂
OK...what are the 10 Hebrew Love terms?
I'm a people pleaser and I never thought about how we only love those who agree with us and it being Suprfecial, I don't want that with my friends, and I'm guilty of being the same way, thank you for this
"When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear."

@@viperstriker4728Thank you for this comment. It strengthened me in
contiueing to reach for my Mormon family. ✝️🕊❤️🔥
love and truth goes together love is different than lust
As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. If you keep My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commands and remain in His love. Jn15:9-10❤
His dad abandoned him and then had him crucified. That's a pretty crappy way to love a person.
@@storba3860 If you are doing somethings that a Father just doesn't want or need watch your Father, unless he is a perv is going to put distance between himself and the son doing somethings. Jesus took ever sin, perversion and crime on. But the Father still love the Son and they are one. It was just while Christ was on the cross that the Father forsook the Son. They both love us. What greater love than to lay down your life?
@@storba3860actually, Jesus is God in the flesh. He chose to sacrifice Himself because He loves us.
This was no cruel father sending an unwilling son to his death. But a joint agreement between God the Father and God the Son.
That self-sacrificial love is amazing and hard to fathom.
Once again you have managed to condense hours of study, deep thought and reflection in to a short well articulated video. Well done Melissa!
I just started reading CS Lewis's "The Four Loves" and couldn't be a better time to be recommended this video :)
So can I set boundaries with people and still be loving - ? I can't deal with certain people's issues without having so much anxiety that I broke down crying on the bus the other day.
Very well said … Agree and pray for His truth to be upheld even when we face all kinds of trials/ deceptions of this age…May our hearts desire be to love His truth and walk in His love well in a fallen world … trusting He will help us … to have His sweet peace/joy as we walk… believing He has already won the victory… which gives us such an Awe and gratefulness for our Lord and Savior🥹 💗🙏🏻🕊️
God's Love Is Awesome, Pure, Uncontaminated. love God With All your Heart, Soul, Mind, And Strength.
Melissa, thank you for sharing your knowledge and insight. I am learning a tremendous amount from your vlogs, and have all kinds of questions haha! I used to be in the LGBT community, and believed the lies because it suited my purposes. Of course, the more I learn about the Bible and Jesus, the more resolute I am about my decision to leave. The TRUTH is, that community, and ideology espoused, actually has very little to do with Love at all, and so much more to do with Lust.
Exactly. The modern world can’t conceive of the notion that two people can love each other and share a close bond yet not involve anything physical. Friendships like David and Johnathan had MUST be gay now.
@@zerobyte802Agreed, this world is so evil. 💔
Well said, young lady. Many, many people need to hear and understand this in today’s society. You’re doing a great job. God Bless….
I may have to watch this a few times to understand it better. Thank you so much for this talk.
This is so good and deep
I love how you explained it. It helps me better understand how a Christian should live.
Wow..thank you for teaching and sharing. Truth matters! Keep up the good fight.
Thank you Malissa, this explanation is desperately needed in our current degenerate society. In my generation, we learned this with the help of C.S. Lewis’s book, “The Four Loves”, where he described God’s love for man as charity, the highest love. I have seen your videos but I think you hit the nail on the head on this issue for this generation. Blessings in Christ.
Good one! I must stop intensely disliking select people. I will definitely ask for God's help on this one.
Excellent explanation of God’s love versus the world’s idea of love.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing this TRUTH! There would be no salvation without the perfect LOVE of Christ. ❤🎁🙏
Amen, Melissa! Truth!
Oh amen. That's true. Getting mobbed regularlyat workplaces because of that topic. Also an ex-newager here. Peopkereally got no ears nor eyes no desire for truth. I hear them talk as if th3yspeak the "truth" yet these are only their opinions. And this is what I now say. Quote "sure, you may hold this opinion but it doesn't make it true." Well, certainly not making friends like that 😅 BUT we need to be the salt of the earth now. Comments like "good and evil is relative" make me literally feel disgusted. Blessings to you Melissa!
I like that phrase you are using. I may use it too❤
Love and acceptance are not synonymous.
yes they are
Thank you.
@@user-jf8fk1mg3cNo, they are not.
If your child robbed a bank, you still love them, but you don't accept their robbery.
Agreed, the love of G-d in Christ , Jesus is Greater than anything we have imagined or attempted to immitate. ✝️🕊❤️🔥🐑
Awesome picture displaying how our love is "insufficient" in comparison to God's love. Great job in defining this!
You are heaven sent! The whole lot of last month I was talking about it and I have continued to do so this year.
Greetings from Greece... Good work.... thank you... all the blessings to your family..tomorrow we celebrate the Holy Epiphany / The Baptism of Christ in River Jordan... thank you again for your work
Every word you speak is golden Melissa! May God continue to bless you!❤️
Thank you, Melissa. This is just what I needed to hear today.
AMEN!!!...PRAISE GOD!!!...REAL LOVE!!!..❤
Melissa, ty for sharing this!!! Very well put.
Much needed. 🥰
Fantastic video. Thank you for what you do. The world needs more scripturally grounded Christine’s to speak eloquently like this. Perfectly expressed a complex point using scripture. Just like Jesus taught. I’m here for more!
This is one of your most outstanding posts.
Much love to my brothers and sisters! 💕🙏
Well done, Melissa! I really appreciate this!
The word "love" seems to have almost lost its meaning to both culture and history. You breaking down the 4 Greek words for "love" in The Bible was a real eye-opener...if only both New Agers and the rest of the world before quoting Bible verses almost cringely out-of-context. Truly "loving your neighbor" as Iesus understood it is so liberating!
The world has no clue 😢of true love ❤️
This is an in depth and well thought and presented analysis of something that sincere people understand intuitively. Unfortunately, the people that use truisms and disingenuous arguments to justify what they already know is absurd will ignore this type of commonsense clarification and keep parroting the same clichés.
I needed this today. Give me strength Heavenly Father, I come to you today asking for your blessings as a single mom. My husband is in heaven with you. I’m raising my children with strength and courage, despite the challenges I face with my sons both being autistic. Lord as I struggle to pay my rent every month and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children. I ask that you bless me with your wisdom and guidance, as I navigate parenthood on my own heal my lupus and heart disease and continue to give me strength to keep going so I may watch my sons grow into men.
Prayers going up for you sister ♥️ ! May our God meet every need for you & your boys. Hope they become men of God. Amen 🙏
✝️❤️🙏🛐Love and prayers for you, single mom.😊
You are so perfectly correct in what you say in this video! Thank you, and may God continue to bless you!
Love is discipline, and truth. Truth is not telling someone what they want to hear, but what is God’s truth.
This is one of the best and most important videos you have ever made. Looking forward to watching the full version. Blessings to you, Melissa.
Beautifully spoken, articulate, Holy spirit led messages. Thank you Melissa. ❤
When the gay agenda states "Love is Love" it really means "sex is sex". As someone who learned the hard way to never under any circumstances use the word "Love" to a liberal, the ONLY person I use that word on is my husband. Everyone else is on their own.
Maybe "love is love" to others when you just think it means "sex is sex." You don't have to agree with gay love, but at least understand on which you choose to comment.
Sin is sin. God says if we do not obey His Word then we do not love Him.
@@michaelsbeverlygot a question, whose comment were you referring to?
I've met a handful of gay men that actually admitted that.
@@307cavalier5great comment. I always say “love is love until it isn’t”. The reason I say that is bc one minute love is love. The next minute they are arguing, fighting, hating & out the door. So much for love is love.
If Love is not given to you from Above then it’s earthly love from Below. Read James 3 for reference. All things from below are ‘bad’
Your passion for the Word is incomparable to other CZcamsrs. Thank you for your deeply loving and unflinching wisdom.
This was so beautiful, thank you ❤
Great and informative channel.
Good stuff, Melissa. Gonna watch this a couple of times…
Perhaps the greatest evil in the "love" philosophy is that they love evil too!
_Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him._ - 1 John 2:15
Amen!
I enjoyed. Thanks Melissa!
Wow! This really cleared things up for me. Thank you Melissa, great way to start the year
Beautifully said, Little Sister! Keep up the good work! Blessings

I totally agree!
I wanted to hear more about this Unexpected Tool Society.
Great message Melissa! Thank you!
Profound Melissa. Thank you!
First, I would like to let you know, I am the most skeptical, judgmental person, especially when it comes to preachers. And although the minute I realized that I am being so judgmental, the Lord speaks to my heart and tell me who am I say anything at all.
And yet sometimes I can’t help myself.
My point is, when I listen to you, I feel like I have not only been meant to hear it, but it is truth.
Everything you say makes complete sense . And the way you break down a scripture in the Bible brings so much more meaning to me. Thank you for your truth.
As I’m sitting here texting you. How much love is like grace, and mercy… there is grace and mercy in His love.
Please pray for me. I really do think your words are given to you by the Lord himself.
Most excellently stated. Thank you Mellissa.
I really needed this both for comfort and correction! Thank you Melissa! ❤
This is a topic that interests me. I learned a lot. Thanks
cyt.If we do not love other people, the Bible says we are not yet perfected in God. Where do we get the power to do this, to forgive like this? It comes from God and faith in his power to turn our hearts from old things to his truth.
I LOVE this!
(Pun intended) 😄
Haha! Praise God!❤😂
Such a needed discussion, thank you for offering the education and for those who listen. 😊
Thanks so much for posting. I really needed this. Ive been, ever so slowly, slipping and weakening. I wasnt losing my faith, per say, but it was gradually being reshaped without me truly realizing it. Fortunately, through somewhat bizarre circumstances, the Lord has intervened. Initially, I may cringe at the taste of His medicine. But, I know it will make me well. Truth is what is what God says it is.

Another form of love is 'ludus', not found in the bible. Great video, thanks!
@Gabby-bot "Ludus" is selfishly using sex as a game. Ludus is NOT a form of LOVE.

Thank you for your video! One basic for me in life is to figure out what healthy relationships look like. The covenant we are to have with God through Christ is defined through His word. I am striving to understand this relationship as His son in a world which is evil and deceptive. "Love", as you mentioned, has been used as a weapon against what God wants for us today!
when the world says "go this way or do this" RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!
Wow! Thank you.
Excellent lecture!
