Were they influenced by Stereolab at all? I notice a lot of their tunes use this "constant structure" thing where they'll use the same chord type through a progression even if it's technically not the usual one you'd expect. Really cool sounding but weirdly, very few guitar based bands ever do it...Stereolab is perhaps the only other band I know that used it a lot
strum pattern is D-D-DUDU-UDU-UDU 1: xo66oo 2: x664oo 3: x442oo then the 4th chord is x22444 dragged along the neck, 5th is (x7989x) dragged along the neck as well, and right before the second chorus there's a barre chord thats basically an E but barre on the 2nd fret (roby lifts the tip of his finger from the low E between the strums) i dont know any real chords but i figured it out by copying his fingers

They definitely were, I remember reading it on some interview but just by listening to them stereolab are most likely their number one influence

There is a pro tab on ultimate guitar tabs that is pretty accurate. Its not played the same way as this video but the chords are spot on.
