When people make home hotel and other things so close to river. I have been to Manali many times but lost interest 5 year back due to too much traffic and tourist nonsense. Every thing so close to river I have seen such incident in 1993 but less in destruction.

I feel sorry for the loss but government should not have allowed so much of development in Manali. Frankly mother nature has just shown you 10% of destruction, if you guys don't stop building hotels and homestays then don't complaint afterwards.

Himachal govt should limit the tourism in Himachal especially in the area between mandi via Manali, solang, Rohtang, darcha & sisu. It's really sad to see such situations. Everything is destroyed. Himachal should be developed like other states instead of the tourism sector. Commercialization is not solution anymore in this region. Several businesses, people, hospitality & homes have been impacted for which we are not sure who is going to bare that cost. Development to the certain extent is good but when it goes above & beyond so, such situations will be there. Route should be diverted for Leh via Himachal or Chandigarh highway otherwise again Manali will get impacted because environment is also going to affect then. Environment is the biggest issues. We still stand for Himachal & for the people whose lives has been impacted. I really pray for Himachal to get things normalize soon.

Bro the first drone shot se pata chalta hai it's big fault of locals as well as government body who allowed construction on that flat surface.. from the aerial view it clearly shows all has been constructed in bias river way and I guess river is claiming the place back and same happened in Delhi last week the river is not flooded it actually turned up to actual flowing way where Delhi has constructed by diverting the actual route...see you cannot fool nature for long...its super power so we need to start respecting it....

We stayed in span resort n spa last year. It was a beautiful trip to kullu n Manali. Sad to see the situation today. I know u guys will fight back again. Tc would like to know. Is span resort safe or no. Cause it's next to the river
