I'm not hating on the guy but... I'd rather listen to Ali G rappin
🤣
@@Ozonencbso u are then 😅
Hes skilled and respecting the culture, not exploiting it. Big up to him
Him growing up with Jamaicans aids his authenticity. I have a white friend who was adopted by a Jamaican family. As the son of immagrant jamaican parents, the kid can speak Patwa because he was raised in our culture. Thats simply being apart of the culture. Never imitating! Both of these dudes are legit. I embrace them, personally.
I grew up around disinfectants I'm not claiming I'm bleach really I actually like a few of his songs turn red and the video is 🔥 but because you are in close proximity to a ppl doesn't give the right to claim you are them
Gotta love the dedication to fall in love with a culture and actually try and add to it becoming accepted by Jamaicans. Instead of mocking it good on him
Jamaicans accept all, out of many one people 🤞🏽🇯🇲
It's pure cringe
Jamaicans are very welcoming to people being a part of their culture, they don’t really care
@@bdh711 liar
nothing but respect too him, warms my heart too seee someone with his energie making it
He's had a channel cook and vibe for years cooking up Jamaican food
Mustnt have been many vide, there are like 4 different dishes 😂😂😂
@haizee2330 OK mate 🤣
I had beef with this guy once. I was working at his nextdoor neighbours garden and he started bitching at us to be quiet. It was 11. He started giving all the big man thing and how famous he was and what he was gonna do to me and my worker while there was a fence there. Next day we were changing the fence extra loud at 7 in morning. He just peeked behind the curtain till the fence was up then got gobby again. But he didnt realise there was no gate. As we ran for where the gate was gonna be he ran indoors. We worked there for 7 more days and he calmed down was actually a decent guy. He freestyled for us and showed us his on line stuff. Was 2018 so none of his bangers. Everyday he was on the mic learning and writing. Fairplay cos from what ive seen hes worked hard for his success.
Yeah ofcourse ya did 😂
@@leetaylor5403 ahhh you caught my lie out....we didn't run but walked quickly.
@@jamestilley81hi klh😊
M Dot R isn't new...at all. He has been doing his thing for a LONG time.
His blackbox video when viral like 6 years ago too, don't know how so many people haven't heard of him before
I used to live beside a 45 year old white Rasta that had dreads that LITERALLY went below his butt, he had listened to reggae for 30 years and even though he was Canadian he sounded exactly like a Jamaican. He was nicknamed "Casper" for an obvious reason.
If middle class dudes from good families can pretend to be gangster rappers....this guy can do his thing ...and absolutely zero people gonna die cause of his music 🤣
I spent 3 days on leave in Kenya, and was smashed the whole time. I fully immersed myself into the culture, spent so much time with locals, that by the time I flew back to base, I was still drunk on the flight back, it took me hours to stop talking like a Kenyan. “Jambo man”. So whilst I think it’s ridiculous, I do believe it could happen.
Ah Charlie did you buy a drum?
Kenya is not Jamaica dim wit.Jamaica also has White ppl. What y'all get in the West is a stereotypical view of Jamaica
I’m from Lewisham and he been smashing it for years, good luck to him.
He’s been around for yearrrrrrs and legitimately throws out some pretty good bars glad he is getting some exposure even if it is for the wrong reasons
Not surprised he got picked up to be featured in GTA6 anyone with a tattoo and social media presence seems to be the only criteria to get contacted by Rockstar for this game.
He didn't. It turned out that was a lie. He's now pretending it was just a joke 😐
I find his whole fake JA accent cringey but it's obvious his love and appreciation of the culture is second to none. Fair play to the guy. He deserves his success.
I agree, people are hating on him yet he just lives in a genre. Who doesn’t have a passion?
When a person moves to a place with a particular accent, it's not hard for them to pick up that accent, just saying.
@@amodernalchemist432he’s been doing this persona for 10+ years
The accent is certi, unuh don't recognise authentic patwa when you hear it
Bro south london has more Jamaicans than jamaica itself. Fake yardie accent lol you're probably from the countryside just stop talking
Been following this guy for a minute, as a Jcan I appreciate his love for the culture and music
I have met MDot a few times as we grew up in the same place and he is still often here in sheerness. In fact in one of his videos showing the roads he grew up in featured my nans house in the background. I think it's great he's kept to what he loves for so long and finally starting to get known for it even when people laugh at him or try to hate he still carries on doing what he loves.
"If man say him a ting, then him a ting, you get me.. mans a ting!"
admittedly i used to laugh at this guy years ago but this documentary has warmed me up to him.
Big ups @phat memer and m dot
So basically his sister liked black guys and the rest is history.
😂
Looks like beans from even Stevens 😂
Omg I used to watch Even Stevens and the resemblance is uncanny😂
lmaoo as a jamaican i support it simply bc I make underground uk music when bored
“Ya maaaan” nuff respect 👊
That was my accent being a black Brit 🇬🇧 with Jamaican and English lineage 🇯🇲
M Dot R does it better though 😂 💯%
This is what I’m saying, I’m a black Brit and he has more confidence and swag in his accent than me 😂😂 I have to respect it
Brit-Caribbean🇩🇲🇯🇲 here, and I cant talk in a convincing Jamaican accent at all😂
This cultural appropriation thing is mainly American... they don't understand that culture is to be shared. Jamaican culture is deeply ingrained within the UK. He is not mocking Jamaicans, he's dedicating his life to a Jamaican style of music, that in itself is respect to the culture.
I just found M Dot R through a You Tube short the little lion sound. Then went down the rabbit hole. Just like every over night sensation. His current fame is the culmination of decades of hard work. He has a passion and issharing it. He is a captivating performer, i watched an number of his clips over and over. Best ofluck to him. Hes great. A simple man with a big heart a great voice and passion. Like the clip said his authenticity is why he will not be found out orbroken down. He loves the Jamaican culture and dancehall MCing. BigUp M Dot
Been a fan of his for years unironically, glad he's getting the views even if its just jokes to some people.
Phat, this is GOLD. I used to crack jokes with me wag won to dis rappa. Cracking the cipher. This guy is an OG lolcow. Now i crack da jokes on Network126 my new 2023 lolcow.
ONE HEAP OF BLOODCLAT SMOKING ON THE AIR FOKIN ON THE KITCHEN FOKIN ON THE CHAIR
Dudes cool but everyone knows the coolest white Rasta is the character Gary Oldman played in True Romance.
We been watching M dot R for a while...cook and vibe is the shit
Good video as always mate 👌
Been following this channel since early on and you’ve seriously upped your quality 👊🏻
Still hoping for videos on Bald Nonce, Beavo and his fear of chewing, and Andy Tate’s monologue “This Tuesday, April Fool’s Day. You’re the biggest fool in Manchester! You’re nothing, you’re a fool, you’re a waste of time. Goodnight” 😂
I’m Irish and have lived in Jamaica for the last 8 years. I still have the most Irish accent you’ll ever hear. I sound more Irish than an Irish fresh if the plane.
Great video!
Hard work pays off -
Big Up to MdotR!!!!!! Shout out mi fada Big Up Cook & Vibe
1000% this guy would love loved and appreciated in Jamaica so why is everyone else crying about him lmao
out of many. one people.....one love, Big up MDOTR
Pon de replay
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂 RASMACLAAAT
Allow him, He’s been accepted in the islands let him ride his vibe and I know you man are listening to turn red.
The guy is talented in this genre of music so it don't really matter whether he is black or white.
You need one for me here man ⭐️💥😎
Fucking love cook and vibe
i love m dot...been folowing for years and seeing his growth is great as he is actually a sick mc
Can’t lie M Dot R is an OG in the music scene he deserves this blow up In fame
Respect ❤❤❤❤
Jah Bless
2:54 lol that the instrumental i made for him when I lived in lewisham.
This man finally reaping the seeds he sow and people hating smh
reminds me of cheshire cat back in the 90's - wyts biting we accent has always been there!
My mom's best friend is Jamaican, she's like an aunty,,,I've just got to show her a video of this guy,,and record her expression!👌😆
Mdot gets MAD LOVE and he deserves it
We need a video on the living seagull beavo
The accent goes hard lol
Some people just wont know how crazy it is that Nines put him on the album.
Can you do a Kak Hatt video next please 🙏
Why do people care if he's Jamaican or not. He's fucking killing it...
Bro fell in love with the country and it's whole culture then decided to implement it into his music, i respect that.
If anyone decided to move to the UK and do the same id appreciate that because right now only terrorists and paedophiles seem to be let over 😂
He’s been about for time
Jafaic it til ya jamaic it.. it's typical multicultural london clashing with meme culture. If he's happy the haters don't have to listen.
One thing to say about ya man being white singing reggae n following and enjoy the culture is UB40
I just want to hear him talk about his favorite farmers market and its vegan options.🎉
MDR is a nice kind person doing what he loves ❤ with fame comes jealous haters and for them comes bitterness. Don’t forget Bob Marley was half white? And what does it matter what race you are? One love right ❤x
whats the background song towoards the end of the video?
Its so funny when people who speak english and not 'click click click', while wearing shoes accuses people of cultural appropriation
Of course he is from Sheppey
Quote from Spice, a Jamaican dancehall artist.
"People think we'll get offended if you speak like us but we like it. It's like you're embracing our culture. You love Jamaica, you push Jamaica so we don't have a problem with it."
@phatmemer. Are you a uniter fan?
If you are, would you do a video explaining the current issues.
I have a feeling it would be a lot of educational then the crap currently on the Internet
So many afro uk youtubers use this like its heritage, never heard of Haitian or the Caribbean
Can you give us a link to the video at 2:53
When GTA hits the stores he’s gunna be in orbit trust me
"MAN'S TAKING A PISS,WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT TAKING RISKS"
For real each time I hear cultural appropriation I hear "I don't have argument to hate but will find one"
Fair play to him, great talent, smoking fools left right and centre
Straight Outta Shepoey.
Imagine getting into that scene just because a dread was turfing out your sister.
His accent is pretty good. He like that old school Canadian dude, forgot his name but one track he made was big, called informer….
Rapper called snow
I'm sorry but that turn red song and the video is fire 🔥 now him trying to gaslight ppl into thinking he's actually Jamaican is crazy
This dudes dope
He's just only putting on the accent You just can't change your accent in the space of 10 years 😂
he's been around for years, like. I seen a video of him MC'ing about rubber johnnies, with silver pants on, like 10 years ago.
The only people that don't have an issue with M Dot are Jamaicans. He obviously has a strong appreciation for Jamaican and Rastafarian culture.
We need some hit songs now
Popcan 😂😂
I honestly find him hilarious
BIG BOMBOCLAT
No he's not Jamaican as the headline says😂😂😂
What happened to the marina joyce video?
It got sniped by CZcams :(
You missed out his prison time, that's apart of his story. It was a mini documentary I think.
And he’s done some acting in some small uk productions here on CZcams
They're making a movie about him - The Grinch That Stole Dancehall
people are hating on hum but his song will be in gta 6
All purpose season bap bap gwan mdot…
He’s the one time I would have hoped somebody got cancelled for cultural appropriation. Only for the level of cringe he gives off because CA isn’t a real thing to me
m dot is the man
too much hate, it's all music
Do what you like.
one of the hardest black artists to emerge lately
Although he seems relatively harmless, If he walked around doing an Pakistani accent, gonna be a whole different story.
An accent and patwa are 2 different things
It’s strange isn’t it, I think we have to remember everyone has roots. I remember seeing a news story about a white man born and raised in china (meaning he has a very strong Chinese accent) and at home it’s normal but if he travels to the US (e.g) and interacts with Chinese/other Asian citizens they will think he’s mocking them and naturally every onlooker would however it’s literally his natural accent so there’s not much anyone can do 😂
he looks like a albino snoop dogg
Man said everyones favorite Mc 😅😅😅😅moses a bit h
There's a definite Caribbean/ UK cultural crossover happening. So it's only natural that some white artists are going to full patois when they're rapping. It's a little bit cringe, but I say fair play.
Mandem look like white version of snoop doggy dog
