Very impressed with The Brothers Grimm opening book (titles), and the animated flags of the countries teams playing their matches. Enjoy the tournament.
Genius.. the graphics follow the lyrics to the Neverending Story song - e.g. Kasper Schmeichel, seeing his dad lift the trophy in "the mirror of his dreams".
Very good intro. I got the references to Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel. I'm guessing the mirror is a reference to the magic mirror. The chariot could be for any story
Cost and viewers who aren't into sport. Many people complain when the regular shows aren't on either channel due to sport so instead they share and so one can show their normal shows that day and the other can show the matches. I believe Germany does the same with AFD/ZDF sharing the matches.
It’s not the 2D , it’s the constant desire to attach its self very tenuously to the host nations culture in a truly terrible way , brothers Grimm - never ending story , my god . A plodding boring visual repetition of Germany with a murdering of an actually energetic track . It’s so dull , BBC taps into a more forward thinking , younger vibe .
Granted, I am no football pundit, but the way I understand it, is: Mbappe is the Maestro and along the tune he is playing the carriage of the french team - driven by black horses (racist message ?), with Giroud in it (the beard + wearing their national blue jersey ?), goes through the gates of triumph and reaches the Cup ?? Meanwhile Schmeichel is dreaming, Kane is striving hard in england eternal uphill battle and Ronaldo is lost in the woods..? Could this intro be so biased?
While I was watching the Portugal Georgia game I've noticed they swapped out Scotland's John McGinn with Belgium's Kevin De Bruyne inside that carrage since the scots are sadly out.
How to take the passion out of the start of a game - dull , boring , made a great song sound like trickling water . Hard to see what’s going on - not interested in elf’s , want to feel excited for the coming games . Also feels like the same creatives have been working on this and the past 5 opening sequences- all feel and look the same - even the Russia one / greatest show man , though live action just felt the same as they always like to take a classic track and make it classical . It has all the markings of an old , white middle aged production team thinking they are being cool . Who’s your market ITV - blokes in surrey that listen to classic FM😂😂😂BBC may not have any reference to Germany but at least it’s exciting.
Ha , another ITV Euro opening sequence attached to some lame narrative around the country- this time fairy tales of the region , 😂, much used pop up book -slow laboured animation with as much energy as an England forward . As for the track never ending story with all the passion taken out of it. Damn ITV you’ve lost the mojo.
ITV are so creative with there intros the 2022 World Cup was class as well
Fancy seeing you here 🤣 good intro though!
Way back but 1998 WC was class by ITV too
@@toph8298 Ha Ha Ha what are the chances mate
They've been better than the BBC ones for the last few tournaments in my opinion
Really liked the way ITV have played into the German fairytales for inspiration. This is as just as good as their Qatar intro.
ITV’s euro and World Cup intros never fail to impress.
The Never Ending Story is the name of the ITV Euro theme.
Ok
Why? Where's the link?
@@r4h4alit’s because never ending story is a German fantasy novel and film
@@simonskinner1078 Thanks.
@@r4h4al no problem dude happy to help 👍

Ah I see, that explains Rapunzel's tower.

This is so much better than the BBC’s, really cool
BBC: Failed again, titles are crap always fail to use special graphics, unlike ITV
Great intro ,ITV really knock it out the park for quite a while now, miles better then the bbc effort
Bbcs seems so lazy and over the top. This oozes class and gives goosebumps
@@SamGaming123100 per cent the bbc haven’t seen to have performed with a decent into since 2014
Ronaldo: Little Red Riding Hood
Kane: Tangled
Schmeichel: Snow White
Mbappé: The Wonderful Musician
10 out of 10 for originality.
Farewell Euro 2024 and this Intro loved this intro
Great intro. Love the animations used, it gives me euro 2016 and World Cup 2022 intro vibes
This is a very impressive set of opening credits much better than the BBC effort and at least this has a connection to Germany
how far Lidl has come!
They'll be sponsoring His Majesty's Government next week😂😂
Another brilliant info from ITV following on after their classic ‘around the world in 80 days ‘ from Quatar 2022.
So good, what a great song choice!
Can't wait for the final now ♪
I live in England and I watched most of the matches and the most of the time I saw the 3rd one
Harry kane will be struggling forever get up that rope way he's playing at this tournament
Very good intro. I got the references to Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel. I'm guessing the mirror is a reference to the magic mirror. The chariot could be for any story
ITV Always have great intros for things like these, that's why I enjoy watching them (COME ON ENGLAND!)
Great intro better than BBC
Why does two networks show the euro for bbc and itv

Much better than the Euro 2020 intro.
Very good thought not quite Nessum dorma
I like how they use the book pages to make this intro
This one and the Euro 2024 theme will be nostalgic in a few years
Using the Never Ending Story theme is quite a genius move, but a bit weak in execution
Both ITV and BBC's ones are really good this year, but ITV's is better.
Also love that it's McGinn representing Scotland in both.
Very good effort
It’s not half bad.
This is adorable.
finally a good intro! one that has to do something with german culture!
Why can't we just use the same as everyone else
Love this. It's so cute
Sounds like Never Ending Story!
Oh yeah, chose to use Limahl instead of Beethoven, Bach,Brahms, Handel, Haydn etc.
@JMundy168 The late, great Michael Ende wrote the origional book the" Never ending story". The music choice is a clear and touching tribute to him.
Best euro intro was bbc euro 2000 it’s on CZcams they don’t make them like that anymore
Andrea Bocelli
@@gookey9924 yes class act
i would much rather have the regular intro tbh-
This is amazing!
That's the shite 2006 WC intro made up for then?
Graphically quite impressive but the music is a bit 'meh'...
The neverending story is a classic
The neverending story meh, you don't know.
The BBC is generally going too "poppy" this year in the choice of music for their intros
Thisi is just AWESOME
Its never coming hooomeeee , na na na na na na na 🤭
This is an impressive intro but I still don't understand why they don't use the competition's official intro instead. I still enjoy the intro though!
Shows the coverage is editorially independent from UEFA's world feed.
That’d be boring
Congratulations 🇪🇸
ITV need to freshed things up for the next tournament, these 2D style animations since Euro 2016 will get repetitive and stale.
2D is cool

Everything is cartoons today especially the politicians!
Comfy
ITV have more of a German feel to there's, but the BBC pinball table is really good too. I'll call it a draw.

You are reading far too much info it especially the "racist" message. You are reaching there and I'm Black.
That's John McGinn of Scotland, not Giroud
Sebastian, choose my name 😂
ITV4
Impressively made but not my favourite.
Y Colorin colorado, este cuento se ha acabado 😊
Bridgerton vibes!
brazil are playing in euro 2024

Pretty cool if updating it as tournament goes on
❤
Whatever ITV
Sounds like 'Hedonism' by Skunk Anansie.
Sowrongthey'rerightgirl99 waz here She was the same girl as requested by her
*Knew it would be **_classical and 'quaint European'._** Like all their intros now. **_Snore._*
European Championships sponsored by a middle eastern nation 🤦♂️

The BBC is no better than ITV this year, although not surprising for a state broadcaster that emulates the style of commercial television
Genuinely boring
