A few years back, (I must have been like 12 I think, I'm 17 now) I went for Halloween because my mom's job had a yearly trip where we'd all go down for a discount and it was pretty fun, but this year was my first (and only) time seeing Halloween, and let me tell you, it's absolutely gorgeous. Disney goes all out with their holidays. I used to be terrified of the HM and would refuse to even look at the facade, usually when we needed to cross over to go to Pirates or something, I'd make my parents book it across HM because I was so scared of it lmao. Low and behold, my favorite movie was and still is Nightmare Before Christmas ironically, and at this time the overlay was up. My parents noticed this and used this as a way to get me into the Haunted Mansion without my knowing. I noticed the giant Jack Skellington and my parents made a deal with me and convinced me to go on it. After my 12 years of absolute fear of The Haunted Mansion, it turns out that after I rode it myself, I actually fell in love with it and it's still my favorite attraction in the whole park to this day, ironically.
First of all, thank you for listening! I loved the vid! My sister and her husband went to the park about a week ago and experienced Disneyland at its spookiest! They loved all of the updates and managed to get to space mountain in a short line of five minutes! It was their favorite!

Mickey's Halloween Party is amazing! We got a ridiculous amount of treats and it was so much fun to see other guests in their costumes. Every ride was a walk on except for Haunted Mansion Holiday and Ghost Galaxy.

My personal favorite is the Ghost Galaxy overlay at Space Mountain. I was terrified the first time I rode it and I loved it! I can't wait to return again!

Halloween time is really fun, even during COVID time the Halloween spirit still goes on. Although not many of the animated characters are there, Sally and Jack are there around afternoon time and at night. Around night time or afternoon time Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Minnie are there in their Halloween costumes

The fact that for the Haunted Mansion Nightmare before Christmas gingerbread house was left out is a little sad. They created a different one every year and that fact that its real is amazing. Going into the dinner scene where its place is amazing because of how much of it you can smell.
In my opinion the best time to watch Nightmare Before Christmas is like around Thanksgiving time because it's a mixture above a Halloween movie and a Christmas movie, that way the time of viewing is somewhere in between just like the movie
interesting fact i noticed while at Disney is that in Maters graveyard ride there isn't one song that plays but it is changed every once in awhile with other songs sung by mater himself in a spooky style. Mater also says a whole bunch of Halloween style puns all throughout it.
Love when the headless horseman comes riding in at Disney World any way and Disney actually uses restraint and keeps it quiet and dramatic for that opening!

I went to Disneyland for the first time in September. I work at Walt Disney World in FL and I wanted to be able to experience Disneyland before my contract expired. Both DCA and Disneyland were decked out for Halloween. I met Daisy and Mickey in DCA in their Halloween attire and I went on Haunted Mansion with the Nightmare overlay and Guardians both during the day and after 5PM. It was so much fun and I’d love to go back!
Note: they upgraded when Jack Skellington comes into to the stretching room prior to additional window breaking pumpkin it used to be Jack Skellington sandy Claus face with an animated Jack in 2013
We have went to Disneyland the past two Sundays, got a fastpass for the Space Mountain attraction. Both times when our pass was activated, the ride was down.
Going on the 23rd. Made a Rey costume for myself and a Kylo Ren costume for my husband sooooo excited! And it just happens to be our 7 year Anniversary that night
I went to Disneyland at Halloween on my B-day! But sadly, Matterhorn was closed. And splash mountain. But I knew all of these already and it was the best time to go. So please go there if you are still reading this.
Finally got to go on the haunted mansion this year and I realised that they have a tombstone in the pet cemetery for a dog named buddy, my dog passed away a few weeks before I went to Disneyland and his name was buddy. The other thing that surprised me was what was written on the tombstone “the best”, when we got buddy cremated we had that engraved on the box. I never knew that tombstone was there and I almost broke down in tears when I saw it.
So, my family and I were going to Disneyland during Halloween and we had no idea about mickeys Halloween party and we went to see if there was anymore tickets but they were all sold out. But then one of the cast members stayed through the entire day after her shift was over to try to find us and give us tickets. We ended up having a amazing time! I’m just saying that these cast members go through anything to make their guests happy!
