Gets asked about oil and talked non stop, without a breath, for 10 minutes straight on everything but oil!! Gotta love Tavi, has everything pre scripted in his head, ready to spew forth.at any opportunity, whether relevant to the question or not. May the battle between inflationistas eg Tavi and disinflationistas eg Rosenberg, Snider etc begin!!! Not sure who's side I'm on. I keep switching each time I listen to a new interview. I'm glad I'm hedged either way.

I'm about to make a point that has nothing to do with the excellent content of the interview, but about a puzzling American-Canadian pronunciation peculiarity. They pronounce "cost" as "cost" and "coast" as "coast", both as should be. But they pronounce "Costa" as "Coasta". Weird. However, they pronounce "Costco" correctly and not "Coastco". Other English speakers such as Brits & Aussies don't make this particular pronunciation error. Even most US & Canadian expats who've lived in Costa Rica for years and have heard the correct pronunciation countless times, still continue to mispronounce the name of the country as Coasta Rica. However, it appears that Americans and Canadians usually pronounce Tavi Costa's name correctly, maybe because's he's corrected them.
I would say some where along the line some talking head in news or politics. Probably pronounced it coasta rico and north americans probably assumed that's how the natives pronounced it. So not wanting to insult them everybody just followed along.
But since your pointing this out how come every single brit, aussie, and kiwi embarras the hell out of their entire country by pronouncing words ending in a as er. Listen to every brit, aussie, and kiwi golf announcer talk about canada, and they will call it canader. It ends in a, there is no er on the end.
I don't watch salesmen for advice.
