Honestly I'm cautiously optimistic. Having one of my favorite scifi icons being part of the Star Wars universe is honestly pretty hype and she's entering in with a series and director that so far has had a pretty decent batting average with likeable, well written characters.

I hope she’s an antagonist. You don’t see her being an antagonistic character too often and she was a decent villain in the Defenders series

I think this is fantastic news!! Sigourney Weaver is a really good actress, and while I think she will be good being either a hero or a villain, a part of me wants her to be a villain as I recently finished watching the Marvel Netflix Defenders show last month, and Sigourney Weaver was such a good villain in that show and I would love to see that again in Star Wars. She would be a worthy movie villain for the Mandalorian over Moff Gideon again, but it will be fine if she is a hero too, as long as Disney treats her and her character correctly and with respect.

I think this is a good choice because has always come across as a bad ass to me since Aliens and Avatar. She could bring some gravitas to a role in the Mandalorian.
