This boxset is like the 2011 blu ray set, so far so good non of my disc is scratched up on my 2011 blu ray set. I'm going to buy the Rise of Skywalker and call it a day.

@@jackbruno953 Well the most powerful character was a Palpatine. The only character present during the entire saga was a Palpatine. The main villian was a Palpatine. He was ultimately defeated by a Palpatine. This Palpatine hero was the only powerful character in general to survive the end of the saga. Also, both of these Palpatines individually accomplished far more than all the Skywalkers and Solos combined

i agree the disc packaging is beyond stupid so i took all the discs out and put them in jewel cases.
It grinds my gears hearing the sound it makes when you slide in the 4K disc, cool set but cause of that I’m just getting standard packaging for now till they release the steelbooks. Great video m8!

@kevinwillson341 that's what I did. I bought a custom digibook for this set , that has actual sleeves on it.
Well, so far every unboxing of this I see gets the same damage on the front-top-right from lifting off the goo that holds down that sleeve of details.
It happened to me and I was super careful as well. Very disappointed
Same here. Mine even had the same goo across the back, a nice long strip lol. I have some Goo Gone I could rub on it but I'm still trying to decide if that's a terrible idea

would get them to replace those episodes in the box, then maybe.
This is a perfect way to ensure that you'll have to buy it again when the discs are all scratched and useless if you were crazy enough to watch the films you'd bought.

What bothers me is that the Death Star image is "broken" and there is an error, a slight offset between the two parts, creating a non-circular image.

Why is it that none of these unboxing videos include a listing of exactly what bonus content we’re getting with this set? That’s what I care most about: which commentaries/documentaries/bloopers/galleries/teasers/trailers/television specials, et cetera do we get? Do we also get the alternate IMAX cut of Attack of the Clones? Phantom Menace 3D, and the sequel trilogy 3D? I mean, can I get rid of my 2011 box set, or does this have ALL that plus the sequel trilogy stuff? Thanks to anyone in-advance who can confirm.
I’ve already got the 1st 6 on Blu-ray so shouldn’t really buy it but it’s the whole saga on 4K so as a SW fan it’s a no brainer! Will look so cool on display 👌🏻

PEDRx I just rewatched it a few hours ago and was way more impressed with it than I had been back upon release.
I know this is the Skywalker saga but it would nice if they did a set of the Star Wars saga, including literally everything. 11 films, all of clone wars, all of rebels, all of resistance. That would be so cool but most likely won’t ever happen. Stay safe review plus!
But I don't think there is much of a market for that. First, it will cost like $500 or something. And for most Star Wars fans, they would have gotten part of a previous release from the past 40 years. ( I am tired of owning 5 editions of various Star Wars movies). And again, I am not sure how many of the fans cross between the movies and the newer animations. Maybe they can have these limited editions at Star Wars Edge or something as an exclusive. Knowing Disney, they will probably milk that fan base...

This set reminds me of the Smallville complete set. Only those discs were heavily damaged because they weren’t Blu-ray Discs.

I'm not as bothered by the digibook as some are. Compared to the Infinity Saga box set, it's perfectly fine. But i would have much rather had the set be a bit cheaper, remove the regular blu rays, put the bonus discs on the same sleeeve. Then thickened it a bit to have plastic holders for the disc
I've just had this delivered. I've bought some sleeves to put the discs in so they don't get damaged by scratching when I take them out.

It’s not part of The Skywalker Saga. They’re spinoffs.
The issue I have is the difficulty in taking out the discs. Not to worried about scratches, the materials inside don’t scratch the disc.
It looks like Star Wars could have several universes that talk about the Skywalker Saga.
I was really excited to get this but glad I canceled my preorder. I don’t see this worth the $250 price tag. I hope we get a new individual steelbook release as that’s what I enjoy more. For RoS I will be getting the target exclusive as that is what I have gotten for the previous two movies. The RoS and TLJ steelbooks are nice too but don’t match with TFA.
The price is quite a steal actually. Doing the math, you'd be paying $9.26 for each disk.

I just got this, I love it. Only nit picks I'd of liked a booklet listing all the special features etc. And I worry taking the discs out cos they're so tight you feel like pulling them out you get marks on the backs of the discs
I remember the Star Wars Laser disc set, that was a nice set. This look sad for $250. My fav is Empire strikes back.
I perfer the blu-ray edition packaging from amazon UK because it fits in the shelf, and it has holders instead of sleeves! Great video!
Do you check and see if your disc's are scratched? If so, what do you do? Return and exchange the product or contact Disney to send you replacements. I purchased the individuals through DMC and 3 of the 4K discs had scratches. Called them right up and they're sending me replacements.
What was the thought process on the disc art? Some were great, others not so much. Han Solo tied up is the 4K cover of ROTJ?

I have all the bluray releases and I prefer their jewel case storage. This new set storage is worse than the 6 bluray box as the discs will damage easily from pulling them out of cardboard sleeves. Disappointed with that and no booklet is a very lazy package deal. For the price it should include more extras.

I can't stop thinking how perfect could it be this collection if only release each trilogy in a box like the lord of the rings extended edition (golden box). I hate the way that stores the discs, the large box and the digibook without any cover art. I prefer the individual edition with the slipcover (already have the 4k OT and sequels), only and several error is the Rise of Skywalker's slipcover art that isn't matches with the rest (disney shits on us again haha).
PS. The title box set is an excuse for not add Solo and Rogue One movies!
$250? I would only pay that if it has the original trilogy. Not the "special" editions that claim to be the same films.
The only special edition addition I like is Hayden Christensen's ghost. Other than that, I hate most of the others

Pacer Shark you are right, but for me it is the Skywalker Saga. The only reason why it should now be called the Palpatine saga, is because Disney screwed up everything with the postlogy.
This coffret is not really worth it, because:
- First of the poor 4k Disney mastering (on average, for both image and DA soundtracks) as usually (no real pros over the HD Blu-ray’s),
- and then it should as well come along with the true original trilogy. For me I do not want to only have one version of the original trilogy. I love the the new one, for it does make sense to have it, but I also love the original one with its defaults. I am a fan and both make sense.

Look how fast they Released this box set! Now, anybody paying even a little attention should realize that there is ALOT of stuff that's not included. RisE of Skywalker ALONE needs a major rework, and they HAVE the footage! But it's all in service if idiolgy FIRST and good stewardship SECOND.

But with the original trilogy - that they'd gave you the option between different cuts of the original trilogy star wars films whether it be Original theatrical or the different special editions from different years so your Not stuck with the disney plus version of the special edition where greedo says Maclunkey, kinda like the Multiple versions in the sony pictures Close encounters of the third kind set

The Rise of Skywalker is just the first 3 movies made into one movie only one missing was JarJar Binks. Even had the Ewoks in it.
I do love the very last scene. The last movie ends where the first 1 begins (basically).

I preordered the set on Amazon UK. But after watching this video and the reviews of the 4K transfers, I just canceled the order. The only thing I’ll miss will be the Atmos audio, but the set itself is not worth it. I guess I will stick with the Blu-rays that I already have and Disney+. I don’t like how this set is designed and I hate how the discs are stored. Not enough interesting things on the “book”.
This remind me of the last Star Wars Complete Series Blu-ray boxset when they had the covered of Anakin and Luke Skywalker on the front.... The disc was stored in the digibook the same way and the artwork was beautiful!!!!

Almost bought this, got the 4k steelbook of RoS instead. Going to wait for the 4k steelbook releases because why wouldn't they release them since ep 8 and now ep 9 has steelbooks. The cardboard disc slip was my main issue. Honestly not worth paying $250 for a cardboard album. 👎

I'm saying this as a HUGE Star Wars fan, this set is junk. Majority of the huge fans I've come across agree as well. The only thing that has my interest are the bonus discs. But im not spending $250 just for those when it could go towards a prop or costume.
Why is it garbage? Let's start off with the prequels. Episode 2 and 3 were shot in digital and rendered at 2k. Their 4k cousins are fake upscales from 2k to 4k and are not true native 4k. And I already own them on Blu Ray. I have no interest in buying them again.
And now the Original trilogy. They are still the edited like crap editions with yet again more changes. I'm tired of buying the OT with changes after changes. I own the 2011 pre Disney Blu Ray set and those changes were enough. I'm not buying the OT over and over again with changes each time. I have better things to spend my money on since I already own the OT AND their respective theatrical releases on Blu Ray(thanks to fan sources).
Lastly those sleeves are a HUGE turn off for me. I hate sleeves on home movie releases. It makes retrieving the discs so awkward and it's easy to touch the back.
And I feel $250 is a little bit high for the set.

Yeah I wholeheartedly agree, I own the complete saga set from 2011 which was around $50, I’m not paying essentially $200 for the sequel trilogy and a fancy case screw that. Maybe if it included rogue one, solo and every cut of the originals I could consider, but as is, hell no.

I would say I’m a huge Star Wars fan, but I’m also young and my parents never bought movies when I was a little kid. I just recently got my first job last year and since then I’ve been buying a bunch of movies since we didn’t have any in the house. I decided to buy this because this is my first time owning any Star Wars movie (despite watching them countless times as a kid, usually when they came on TBS or whatnot). I could have bought the separate releases, but this is easier and cooler. If I already owned other versions of the movies I wouldn’t bother with this, but since it’s quite literally my first time owning these movies, I think it’s great.

Jeremy Drew thanks, I have enjoyed it so far! I’m watching them through in chronological order and so far I have watched the prequels. I have to say, they might not be true 4K, but it’s higher quality than I have seen them in before. I’m going to take a break from the main saga now and watch Solo and Rogue One, but I can’t wait to see the Original Trilogy, specifically ESB in 4K (whether true 4K or upscaled or whatever)
That box set is almost as big as the x files bluray box set. The thing I don't understand is why in the hell do I need the bluray copy if I have the 4k version ? It's a waste. I'll just give them to a friend who otherwise would have bought their own set.

If I bought this I would probably keep the actual Discs in plastic DVD cases, . Sliding in & out of cardboard is a bad idea.. definitely would scratch discs over time.. They did this on a Blu-ray James Bond "50" celebration collection.. bad idea.
I used to use those vinyl sleeves, in case logic cases, even with the felt type backing, I ruined many discs..by scratches.. before throwing that case away.
I only use the hard plastic snap in cases..
For $250 they should have included the unedited movies. They would’ve been worth $250 if they were packed in a hamburger wrapper. This set as is is pretty but just contains the same 27 discs as the “Ultimate Collector’s Editions” that every store has. :(
Most of the digital fx in the sequel movies are rendered in 2k so it's not entirely a 4k release. That's why only buying the original saga on 4k is worth it. Save you money 👍

No I’m good I’m happy and grateful with my six film box set If I’m that desperate for 4K Blu-ray I’ll just get the first six film only in 4K. Disney’s trilogy Star Wars are trash! It doesn’t exist in my Star Wars life.
