Thank you so much for this video. I had a hard time with my Yamaha for 3 year and nobody could find what the problem was. my AUTO mechanic and I decided to give it a try. I bought the 8 filters and and the vst filter and change them all. It finally works. Thank you, we used your video as a guide.

Kuddos on the video. I am a relative newbie with the same exact engine. I have tried marine mechanics but they are like car mechanics (Good ones few and far between.) But noone is going to treat your things as well as you do. Thus the old saying "If you want something done right.......". More videos please.

Did you have to do anything to relieve the pressure prior to opening up the high pressure fuel pump?

Mark Hamilton, - yeah, my neighbour’s wife relieved the pressure on his balls first.

Just looked this up and bought a set of eight "fuel injector basket filters" (part number 68F139101000) for $12.50 (free shipping) from NE Injectors on eBay. According to the description, these filters fit the 150hp, 175hp and 200hp HPDI Yamahas for model years 2000 and higher. The filters appear on page 3-77 of the SELOC manual for Yamaha Two-stroke Outboards (1997 to 2003). The set of eight is for my 200hp Yamaha - they also sell a set of six (I'd just buy the 8 and have a couple of spares).

Henry W. Borntraeger IV they are just basic fuel injector filters. The longer ones. #10 wood screw will take them out. They are not a Yamaha listed part. Yamaha wants you to buy a whole new pump for $1200+

Start at the tank and work back to the engine. Racor then filter in float canister then Filter on bottom of Med Pressure tank in VST then filter on tope of VST then finally Mystery Filters I added an extra inline see through filter in fuel line between the Racor at the gas tank and the outboard itself Easy to see if it is dirty The Mystery Filters are last They are hardest to change because the fuel rails have to come off to get to them He didn't talk about removing the Mystery Filters which is a little tricky
