  • Recent studies have highlighted the seriousness of mental health in students and young professionals. In this panel, the current higher education and young professional environments (such as internships and entry-level positions) and their impact on mental health will be discussed. Is it true that the younger generations suffer from more widespread mental health problems or are we simply more aware of the causes and symptoms? Are universities and businesses doing enough to raise awareness of mental health and taking steps to improve their working environments? Finally, are we kinder to those who suffer from poor mental health or are do we continue to stigmatise those who are most in need of our support?
