The finale wrecked me. And this took way too long like what the hell. Half a month.
Anyway, I really wanted to edit this song for a while, and BAM tangled strangely enough fits it pretty well. I tried to go for scene choice but if one line has like 10 beats and therefore 10 potential scene swaps I KINDA RAN OUT OF LYRICAL STUFF PRETTY FAST XD

So anyway, I'm so super proud of it, especially the first third. Like, everything about the first third came out amazing. The beats are matched pretty good, the lyrics effects (especially the shattering) look convincing (even tho the "lies" part is way too short to really see it which I'm super sad about) and the scene choice isn't so bad either.
The end is kinda random and not actually his point of no return, but I was pretty chronological for the most part of the amv so I didn't wanna switch to his Emo-scene in Queen for a day just at the end. So... STORYTELLING??? Idk.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed it!! :3
Tangled was a great, great series - I can't wait for it to continue. I hope Varian comes back, and possibly gets a redemption which hopefully includes Cass more than attempting to kill her featuring a terrible pun.

It's actually interesting that every time Rapunzel has nightmares about the rocks, Varian seems to be projecting words and prophecies that concern her connection to the rocks... almost as if he's who Rapunzel subconsciously places as being the voice for the moon stone even before she learned he was a villain... This was amazing!!! The text was my favorite part. Although we didn’t really like the finale that much, I love you you used so many scenes from Ready as I’ll ever be. And your focus on Varian. He’s my favorite and I know he’s gonna come back next season cuz he still wants revenge. I really loved this. Aariel and I were both planning AMVs with this show also but I won’t compare to this!

Mika-hime Thank you!! And yeah, I love Cass and Varian but me and Aariel both agree our favorite favorite characters are Flynn and Lance! And yeah we didn’t enjoy it that much cuz it felt too rushed and random with the rocks and stuff. (And throughout the whole series I personally cannot stand how Rapunzel treats her Dad) I just realized that my original comment didn’t fully communicate how much I loved this! Like I said the text was amazing but the editing flow was also amazing!!! Like I wish I could edit like you!!!!

I actually don't remember if I felt it was rushed. I agree the stuff with the rocks doesn't make too much sense, since they just seemed so dangerous throughout the series, it's a bit strange they ended up being no threat but rather a help. Though I do like the message, that not everything dark will automatically be the total evil thing wanting to kill you. I hope we'll get more exposition on that in the future though since the paper / scroll with the sundrop legend thingy has a conviently torn off part at the moon-part of it.
My problem is more that both Eugene and Rapunzel feel so out of character sometimes. So overly stupid or oblivious / naive. Literally like 3 episodes of the series have the plot that Rapunzel is overly open or communicating with people (usually Cass) and is nosy or overwhelmingly clingy. And she just never learns from it.
I think I don't notice it that much because I wasn't actually a HUGE tangled fan, but I just love the series, so I can forgive and it never got to the point where I would be completely mad, just sometimes a bit annoyed.
I do think his dad reasons are valid and hers are too. He basically locked her up again (by forbidding her to leave and explore the world), but the comparisons to Gothel were REALLY messed up and disturbing, like that are two worlds between that. I can see what you mean but I just didn't feel as if it was sooo misplaced. But that could be because we never really see them interact in the movie sooo.
The thing throwing me off more is just how extreme Varian's reaction seems. It's the emotions, sure, and he's a self-doubting kid, but somehow blaming all of corona seemed a bit extreme to me, especially when we're never actually shown how all of corona betrayed him.
Though they do hint it when Niquel (?) the guy in the castle says that Varian attacked Rapunzel and that seems to have spread by what is being sad in "The Alchemist Returns" but we're just never shown soooo. Idk how to really feel about that. But being told you attacked someone you wanted help from is probably pretty shitty - I just wish it would have been shown or hinted at with people gossiping or something.

Mika-hime You didn’t like Lance?? When he pretended the ring was from the orphanage for whoever found the true love, we were like “wow, lance is so smooth” lol. Mika-hime Mika-hime Yep, the Moon part of it. And how it’s not always bad but it was just coincidentally ripped off. I actually thought it was gonna be another flower, like a dark flower. The characters didn’t seem out of character as much to me, but I really can’t stand Rapunzel sometimes, but regarding the Dad I get that Rapunzel wants to be free to explore, it just makes me mad that she doesn’t realize he’s trying to protect her after 18 years. When Nigel said the thing about varian attacking her, that was in the episode with the big snow storm when she refused to help varian cuz the snow was too dangerous. It wasn’t really “attacking” but that’s the scenario they’re referring to. But yeah, we’re probably gonna see more varian.
