I love how long the train ride is. That’s how it should’ve been at launch. Gives the level a real sense of traveling a long way to get to this base
I loved how long it was too! Plus it was such an awesome environment you got to show it off more.
I really wish the train segment went full- classic platformer and had you jumping onto different moving trains to fight demons
An arena completely comprised of moving segments might have been too much this early for lots of players, especially with the music 🤷
@@rdowg Really? Cultist Base is only the third level of the game and they damn near throw too many demons and platforming sections. So having the third level open up with a lot of train platforming wouldn't be that bad, especially considering that the level before was hard as balls!

Going to the 1-Up at the beginning of a custom made master level and deliberately not picking it up is such a power move.
Loved the use of tag 2 demons, the screechers worked well in surprise encounters and arena fights. The chaingunners actually looked potentially threatening in that last fight. The stone imps also synergized really well with the others, like with cacos and hell knights. If encounters like this were in tag2, it would've been a smash hit.
My God man. This level is insane. First time seeing it.
I feel like the demons in this video every time I try to play an online multi-player fps.
This is actually an incredibly well-paced mission. Plus the DLC mechanics and demons actually work great here!
ID needs to just remaster all the levels at this point because this, Exultia and Final Sin would be awesome master levels.

They really should have had you riding the whole way to the Doom Hunter Base ripping and tearing through demons en route, because this level was way too short.

Is it me, or is this ever so slightly sped up? And I don’t mean that as the old joke about well-played Eternal being incomprehensibly fast, I mean it literally. The biggest thing that gives me that idea is the music having a faster tempo, as well as the marauder stun and ‘CRITICAL DAMAGE’ sounding noticeably faster.

What mod allows you to use the hammer in the main campaign? I'm so confused, and I can't find anything like that.
you can run kaiser campaign, the hammer will be added to the main campaign automatically, then remove it, and the hammer will stay there
You can use console commands to get the hammer, but it will replace your crucible.
Alternatively you could install Kaiser campaign just like what Hoang said.

I play Doom Eternal on Xbox and on pc. Though it is more challenging, I like to play Doom Eternal on the Xbox. I mastered quick swapping, but it did take some time. This looks like a fun challenge for me to play on the Xbox, but I'm afraid on pc, this would be too easy, in my opinion.

Can somebody explain this dude's key bindings to me? Doesn't NUM mean the number pad? Why would you want to have to reach that far? For that matter, how's that even possible?

Greater air mobility, the one that gives you a speed boost after a glory kill, and the one that makes you perform glory kills faster

Ugh. I really hate the music. in fact, I only like 1 or 2 songs from this and Doom 2016. THe music really doesn't do it for me and I really like Heavy and Death metal.
Replying to a year old comment lol. But atleast it fits the theme of Eternal's more occult-themed bases and balls-to-the-wall action than 2016's techy labyrinths and overall grittier tone.
