I think that he's aware of her feelings and straight out teasing her because she always hides behind acting. Like that book about dating - he clearly used it to go on dates with Rin (movie, shopping) and was aware why she was angry (he did it intentionally) so he used it to tease her. Also notice how he subtly dissuaded Rin fron cutting her hair without saying it directly. He knows his game.

Nanakura is the cutest whenever Eiji says something to make her break character lol. Whenever Eiji uses UNINTENTIONAL FLIRTING, it’s always SUPER EFFECTIVE lol.
I guess that letter Nanakura took away was her actual love letter? Guess she’s not ready to confess properly yet. Those two would make a great couple when she finally does.
