Kaleb’s shot in the dark was the coolest moment of the season hands down, but it just sucks he couldn’t really do anything to avoid being targeted the very next tribal council. he deserved better tbh, he played the game well and was likable and super fun to watch

While it may not be the most exciting thing when someone quits, it’s part of the phenomenon that is Survivor. Most people who complain that they could’ve been on the show instead don’t have the charismatic qualifications to actually do so.
Hannah’s a therapist and Sean is a school principal. Both are supposed to help people make choices. And both of them quit almost immediately for the dumbest of reasons. Absolutely pathetic. If you can’t handle being on Survivor, then why did you apply in the first place? It’s as simple as that

I honestly loved Lulu. I live for entertaining hot mess teams like this to watch and they never failed to entertain, even though they were horrible at challenges, gameplay, camp life...everything, really. That scene of Sabiyah cooking her idol at Tribal Council is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on this show. I stan Lulu to the point that Lulu is actually the first time I've ever gotten a Survivor Buff for myself as a collector's item.
Hannah sweeping the ground “free” of dirt and leaves gives the same vibe as that scene in Spongebob where Patrick is sweeping with the stick side down, brush side up. The whole tribe gives the vibe of being a whole messy twitter thread brought into reality.
I fully blame CBS for the casting. Brandon, Hannah and Sean should not have been on the show. I don't mind a hot mess tribe, it adds to the watching experience, but those three sunk any real shot that Kaleb, Emily or Sabiyah had.
I disagree. Yes Kaleb, Emily and Sabiyah were put in bad situations because of them but I don't think the others were what sunk their game. I honestly think all three of them sunk their own games. Sabiyah went after Kaleb and didn't play her idol, Kaleb couldn't manage his threat level and overplayed his hand and Emily exposed herself after explaining the Bruce vote.
Man, it's so unsatisfying to see two quitters, one of whom actually tried to, in jeffs words, romanticize his exit, and then a third guy who was totally unprepaired to push himself and basically a quitter when it came to challenges. But the tribe gave us Emily who is one of my favs to ever play.
I feel bad for Sabiyah, Kaleb and Emily. Half their tribe was not ready or a hot mess. 3 hot messes on tribes of 6 is not fair. If you swapped Brandon with Brando and Jmya with Hannah it mightve been a different pre merge. In fact I'd say it's drastically different. The negative people and quitters mentality all together can take over the feel of a tribe. The Lulu here to play stood no chance. The fact 2 even made it to the jury is a miracle.

Putting Brandon, Hannah and Emily on the same tribe was probably a mistake in hindsight, but I think it's part of a larger reason why 45 was so underwhelming. You can have seasons that are like fun chess matches of good players trying to one up each other like Cagayan and there are also fun train wreck seasons where everyone is self-destructing like Gabon. 45 feels like what happens when you take the Gabon cast and try to sell them as hardcore strategists despite almost going out of their way to give the win to the Dee.

To be honest I blame producers for this. Lulu was not balanced against the other two tribes. Kaleb was only person that can be considered a challenge asset (Emily and Sabiah are debatable and have their own strengths and weaknesses). It’s like Zhan Hu or Malolo, you can’t blame the players for an unfair tribe lineup

I really hope we see Kaleb and Emily brought back for another season. They were both so much fun to watch and root for. I also think that Emily's big move to get out Bruce was an really bad one. I can't imagine what she was thinking. They should have used Bruce's idol to take out one of the Reba 4. What a different ending we would have had if they had done so.
Emily's bad move was not throwing a vote on one other person when Kaleb played his Shot in the Dark. She was already on the outs and (by luck) could have changed the direction of the game.

I was thinking the same thing that whole episode... I was just thinking to myself Emily, you're not one of the core people in that group of 4... Once Bruce is out, it's over for you. That was their shot to take out that group that was running the show and she squandered it and helped them.
Emily went from being one of my least favorite players of the season to one of my favorites of the season. Hope to see her again even though she did say in an interview that she wouldn't😢
The fact that almost half this tribe quit (sean, as Jeff said, orchestrated his quit) it really just makes me concerned with how they cast new players. Besides these 2 players quitting I loved the entire cast! I didn’t even dislike the 2 quitters I was just disappointed they gave up

I think it was basically impossible for them to turn it around at the start, considering how the only people shown to be good at challenges was Kaleb, maybe Sebiyah and they had 2 people on that tribe who gave up no chance of them turning things around
I think we might just have a new contender in survivor 46. I’m of course talking about Yanu, the tribe that went ELEVEN days before winning a challenge and getting flint. Now on to the individual contestants: Jalinski: one of the most iconic first boots for his “several” comments about never giving up despite giving up on the sweat task and journey game. Jess: the woman who literally ate ants to avoid talking to her own tribe. Bhanu: no comments necessary. Tiffany: the woman who clearly takes no bs yet was surrounded by so much during the pre merge, and when she was finally surrounded by good players, she got blindsided with an idol in her pocket. Q: He made lots of “big mistakes” by acting spontaneously and like a dictator. He also tried to quit like 3 times lol. Kenzie: Survivor 46 hasn’t ended yet, but I think she might just pull out the win, which would be the most hilarious conclusion to this dysfunctional tribe.
I said it before and I'll say it again: I don't think the Sean quit happens if Lulu wins a single immunity challenge and the Sabiyah blindside doesn't happen. Based on how it felt watching the first time, I think if he wasn't trying to claw his way up from the bottom, the relief from the swap doesn't crash as hard when Reba loses. Like dude was convinced he went from being on top, to having nothing, to having a chance, to looking like a swap-screw. I think losing his one ally messed him up THAT badly that he didn't see Sifu was going if he had stayed quiet.
I loved the Lulu tribe !! They were such a trainwreck that it was such a fun time watching the disaster !!! Emily and Kaleb had great stories as well !!! The premerge of 45 was my favorite part BECAUSE of how bad they were… it was so bad it was really enjoyable !!!
Kaleb was an excellent player, wish he could’ve stayed around longer but he was handed the worst cards possible. He still made things work and worked with emily to make her a stronger player which just goes to show how good he is at this game. Kudos to emily and sabihya as well for their excellence
Emily and Kaleb were such standouts this season. Emily had a great arc the time she was there, and Kaleb is a well rounded player. I’d love to see them return. Also, Hannah, you already took this opportunity away from someone else when you got cast. 🤦♂️
Emily got some online hate and said that she didn’t want to experience that again, but Kaleb is a big fan fave and I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get another shot

We all can't be like Cirie, survivor is an extremely tough game that isn't for everybody, and some of us should just stay on the couch and watch from home.
If we’re going strictly by challenge wins, Tika had a worse win percentage, but Carson, Carolyn, and Yam Yam made up for it by dominating the merge. Kaleb and Emily did not do that.
They couldn't. A group of only 2 is way weaker than a group of 3. Didn't help that the Bruce-led Belo had no interest in securing numbers in the war of Reba Vs Belo.
This was my first time watching Survivor live, like as it aired, and I was SHOCKED at this tribe! I watched 2 seasons from the past prior to starting this season (and I’ve since watched 2 more, so 5 season I’ve watched now) and BY FAR, Lulu was the worst tribe I’ve ever seen! I couldn’t stand the majority of them, but I’ll say this; Emily deserves her own video imo. I couldn’t friggen stand her at the start of the show, but by the time she got up and running; she was my favorite person to watch on the season! Incredibly smart and once she stopped attacking everyone, she seemed like a formidable force.
Having two quitters on one tribe... pre-merge no less. That really put a stink on the whole season for me. Tho i will say, the almost comeback of Emily was great. I started out not liking her, but her story-arc made me appreciate her, to the point i was actively hoping she might win (mat chat theory and all). I think she's one of those characters that could really work in a future returnee season.
I don't think the shot in the dark is the best thing in the game but I'm happy a 🇨🇦Canadian 🇨🇦 made a mark in Survivor history is the first one to be safe with a shot in the dark
I started watching this season the night it premiered, saw Brandon struggling to climb the ladder, and I turned the TV off because of secondhand embarrassment. I have not watched one second of the season since.
Personally, I think the Belo tribe was worse. Yeah, Lulu sucked. But that’s because they kept losing challenges. They didn’t have a chance BUT to turn on each other, especially with the losing your vote aspect that Jeff seems to have developed a fetish for. Belo got 5/6 members to the jury phase and started cannibalizing each other in Reba’s benefit. What’s THEIR (Belo) excuse??
Does Brandon even have any muscle because he was flopping around on that rope ladder as if it was a 40's cartoon and someone put oil on the rope. All you need is to add a laugh track playing every time he fell.
Ok so… I actually don’t see Hannah sweeping the shelter spot in the first episode as a negative thing. It makes sense to clear the shelter place of all sticks, leaves, bugs, and other debris before building. My problem is that she just… used a bamboo stick and drew lines in the dirt? I don’t see how that sweeps anything… I think the nicotine withdrawal really hit her hard, and nobody expected how hard. And honestly, Emily’s fate was sealed once Kaleb was voted out. She spent the entire pre-merge being disliked by her tribe, and almost the entire post-merge being the ‘Sole Lulu Survivor’. Nobody would want to go against that in the final three, so she would need to win the last few challenges, which lets be honest, Emily wasn’t that big of a challenge threat. I figured she would go far post-Caleb, as she was essentially a second vote for Drew (so the Reba 4 would keep her around), but I never believed she could make it to the final 3.
Brandon is proof that maybe do like a basic physical test before letting people on Survivor. Nothing crazy but that was beyond embarrassing for Brandon. P.S. But credit for not giving up.

Brandon was the worst casting choice in the history of this show. It was straight up irresponsible to cast a person so not equipped for both the physical aspect and the stress coming from the game. I'm sorry but being a super fan isn't enough of a reason for casting someone who could die during a challenge. He's probably a sweet dude, but applying for Survivor was a mistake.
I find it a little concerning how many people like Emily, I’m sorry, I don’t buy 180 turning around your entire personally in 20 some odd days no matter how extreme the circumstances of a show like this. Let’s be honest, if they’re hadn’t been a quitter and a weak link in the first two votes she would have been voted off long before she got that “chance.” It’s another one of the reasons I miss a live finale, contestants have time to reflect, regroup, watch themselves and sit with who they were on the show and we get to see them a few months out and how this experience has impacted them. Them coming right off the show and going “omg I’ve changed” means zip, especially on a reality show.
This is the worst Survivor batch because of those participants who gave up. It had taken the perseverance and outlast part of Survivor, out of the game.
Fun fact: Lulu is in a three way tie for earliest tribe eliminated from US survivor (in terms of placing, they're strictly earliest if you count in terms days but given we're comparing 26 with 39 I don't think that's a sensible metric). The other two are Ulong and... Solana from Cagayan, it's really funny to me how little the elimination of Solana is talked about.
Maybe because Solana only lost 1 imlunity challenge and that 4 out of the 6 original members made merge... Solana members are ranked : 7th, 8,th, 9th, 10th, 12th and 16th. Lulu members are ranked : 7th, 10th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th And with the big personnalities in Brain and Brawn, noone remembers any Solana members
@@pau74d433 I'm not saying that they deserve billing as a worst tribe contender. I just think it's an interesting occurrence and no-one talks about it (the fact that they actually go out 10th through 7th in a situation where the two tribe dynamics had formed pretty strongly).

Putting Brandon, Hannah and Emily on the same tribe was probably a mistake in hindsight, but I think it's part of a larger reason why 45 was so underwhelming.
You can have seasons that are like fun chess matches of good players trying to one up each other like Cagayan and there are also fun train wreck seasons where everyone is self-destructing like Gabon.
45 feels like what happens when you take the Gabon cast and try to sell them as hardcore strategists despite almost going out of their way to give the win to the Dee.

I really loved emily’s storyline this season and was rooting for her to win, so I’d love to see her comeback for an eventual new era all stars

To be honest I blame producers for this. Lulu was not balanced against the other two tribes. Kaleb was only person that can be considered a challenge asset (Emily and Sabiah are debatable and have their own strengths and weaknesses). It’s like Zhan Hu or Malolo, you can’t blame the players for an unfair tribe lineup
I’m not mad at them for this. Definitely made for some fun stuff with Brandon and especially Sabiyah’s boots.

I really hope we see Kaleb and Emily brought back for another season. They were both so much fun to watch and root for. I also think that Emily's big move to get out Bruce was an really bad one. I can't imagine what she was thinking. They should have used Bruce's idol to take out one of the Reba 4. What a different ending we would have had if they had done so.

Emily's bad move was not throwing a vote on one other person when Kaleb played his Shot in the Dark. She was already on the outs and (by luck) could have changed the direction of the game.
Emily voting out Bruce was a GOOD move honestly, her telling everyone about her big move however was not.

I was thinking the same thing that whole episode... I was just thinking to myself Emily, you're not one of the core people in that group of 4... Once Bruce is out, it's over for you. That was their shot to take out that group that was running the show and she squandered it and helped them.
Emily went from being one of my least favorite players of the season to one of my favorites of the season. Hope to see her again even though she did say in an interview that she wouldn't😢

The fact that almost half this tribe quit (sean, as Jeff said, orchestrated his quit) it really just makes me concerned with how they cast new players. Besides these 2 players quitting I loved the entire cast! I didn’t even dislike the 2 quitters I was just disappointed they gave up

I think it was basically impossible for them to turn it around at the start, considering how the only people shown to be good at challenges was Kaleb, maybe Sebiyah and they had 2 people on that tribe who gave up no chance of them turning things around
I think we might just have a new contender in survivor 46. I’m of course talking about Yanu, the tribe that went ELEVEN days before winning a challenge and getting flint. Now on to the individual contestants:
Jalinski: one of the most iconic first boots for his “several” comments about never giving up despite giving up on the sweat task and journey game.
Jess: the woman who literally ate ants to avoid talking to her own tribe.
Bhanu: no comments necessary.
Tiffany: the woman who clearly takes no bs yet was surrounded by so much during the pre merge, and when she was finally surrounded by good players, she got blindsided with an idol in her pocket.
Q: He made lots of “big mistakes” by acting spontaneously and like a dictator. He also tried to quit like 3 times lol.
Kenzie: Survivor 46 hasn’t ended yet, but I think she might just pull out the win, which would be the most hilarious conclusion to this dysfunctional tribe.
I said it before and I'll say it again: I don't think the Sean quit happens if Lulu wins a single immunity challenge and the Sabiyah blindside doesn't happen. Based on how it felt watching the first time, I think if he wasn't trying to claw his way up from the bottom, the relief from the swap doesn't crash as hard when Reba loses. Like dude was convinced he went from being on top, to having nothing, to having a chance, to looking like a swap-screw. I think losing his one ally messed him up THAT badly that he didn't see Sifu was going if he had stayed quiet.

I loved the Lulu tribe !! They were such a trainwreck that it was such a fun time watching the disaster !!! Emily and Kaleb had great stories as well !!! The premerge of 45 was my favorite part BECAUSE of how bad they were… it was so bad it was really enjoyable !!!

Kaleb was an excellent player, wish he could’ve stayed around longer but he was handed the worst cards possible. He still made things work and worked with emily to make her a stronger player which just goes to show how good he is at this game. Kudos to emily and sabihya as well for their excellence

If we’re going strictly by challenge wins, Tika had a worse win percentage, but Carson, Carolyn, and Yam Yam made up for it by dominating the merge. Kaleb and Emily did not do that.
They couldn't. A group of only 2 is way weaker than a group of 3. Didn't help that the Bruce-led Belo had no interest in securing numbers in the war of Reba Vs Belo.
This was my first time watching Survivor live, like as it aired, and I was SHOCKED at this tribe! I watched 2 seasons from the past prior to starting this season (and I’ve since watched 2 more, so 5 season I’ve watched now) and BY FAR, Lulu was the worst tribe I’ve ever seen! I couldn’t stand the majority of them, but I’ll say this; Emily deserves her own video imo. I couldn’t friggen stand her at the start of the show, but by the time she got up and running; she was my favorite person to watch on the season! Incredibly smart and once she stopped attacking everyone, she seemed like a formidable force.
Emily’s character growth was one of the best things this season

Kaleb was my favorite player that season because he was Canadian and made a couple of basketball references.
Having two quitters on one tribe... pre-merge no less. That really put a stink on the whole season for me. Tho i will say, the almost comeback of Emily was great. I started out not liking her, but her story-arc made me appreciate her, to the point i was actively hoping she might win (mat chat theory and all). I think she's one of those characters that could really work in a future returnee season.
I don't think the shot in the dark is the best thing in the game but I'm happy a 🇨🇦Canadian 🇨🇦 made a mark in Survivor history is the first one to be safe with a shot in the dark
I started watching this season the night it premiered, saw Brandon struggling to climb the ladder, and I turned the TV off because of secondhand embarrassment. I have not watched one second of the season since.

Personally, I think the Belo tribe was worse. Yeah, Lulu sucked. But that’s because they kept losing challenges. They didn’t have a chance BUT to turn on each other, especially with the losing your vote aspect that Jeff seems to have developed a fetish for.
Belo got 5/6 members to the jury phase and started cannibalizing each other in Reba’s benefit. What’s THEIR (Belo) excuse??

I actually don’t see Hannah sweeping the shelter spot in the first episode as a negative thing. It makes sense to clear the shelter place of all sticks, leaves, bugs, and other debris before building. My problem is that she just… used a bamboo stick and drew lines in the dirt? I don’t see how that sweeps anything…
I think the nicotine withdrawal really hit her hard, and nobody expected how hard.
And honestly, Emily’s fate was sealed once Kaleb was voted out. She spent the entire pre-merge being disliked by her tribe, and almost the entire post-merge being the ‘Sole Lulu Survivor’. Nobody would want to go against that in the final three, so she would need to win the last few challenges, which lets be honest, Emily wasn’t that big of a challenge threat. I figured she would go far post-Caleb, as she was essentially a second vote for Drew (so the Reba 4 would keep her around), but I never believed she could make it to the final 3.

It was straight up irresponsible to cast a person so not equipped for both the physical aspect and the stress coming from the game. I'm sorry but being a super fan isn't enough of a reason for casting someone who could die during a challenge.
He's probably a sweet dude, but applying for Survivor was a mistake.
I find it a little concerning how many people like Emily, I’m sorry, I don’t buy 180 turning around your entire personally in 20 some odd days no matter how extreme the circumstances of a show like this. Let’s be honest, if they’re hadn’t been a quitter and a weak link in the first two votes she would have been voted off long before she got that “chance.” It’s another one of the reasons I miss a live finale, contestants have time to reflect, regroup, watch themselves and sit with who they were on the show and we get to see them a few months out and how this experience has impacted them. Them coming right off the show and going “omg I’ve changed” means zip, especially on a reality show.

Fun fact: Lulu is in a three way tie for earliest tribe eliminated from US survivor (in terms of placing, they're strictly earliest if you count in terms days but given we're comparing 26 with 39 I don't think that's a sensible metric). The other two are Ulong and... Solana from Cagayan, it's really funny to me how little the elimination of Solana is talked about.
Maybe because Solana only lost 1 imlunity challenge and that 4 out of the 6 original members made merge... Solana members are ranked : 7th, 8,th, 9th, 10th, 12th and 16th. Lulu members are ranked : 7th, 10th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th
And with the big personnalities in Brain and Brawn, noone remembers any Solana members
@@pau74d433 I'm not saying that they deserve billing as a worst tribe contender. I just think it's an interesting occurrence and no-one talks about it (the fact that they actually go out 10th through 7th in a situation where the two tribe dynamics had formed pretty strongly).
