this episode was very obvious that Naruto had the plot on his side. both Akatsuki members were much stronger at the time they shouldn’t have lost at all

I always hated how Kakuzu just stood there and waited instead of using ranged attacks... Plot armor Really kicked in.
He was cautious because it was 5v1 and as it was shown kakashi can counter his lightning while Naruto and Yamato can counter Fire.
@@user-bp2oe3jo8l True enough. And Kakuzu and Hidan were also Sealing Matabi for 3 days and 3 nights without rest.
So they weren't at max even at the start of the battle.
Plus the heart Hidan destroyed of Kakuzu's was his earth/Hardening heart.
I bet Being so drastically outnumbered after suffering more damage than he has in decades must have had him a bit shook up and not in his A game.
This was truly an Outlier.
