The reason the song is so good (besides the girls of course) is due to the producer 'Czaer'. I have no idea who they are or where they came from, but they popped up a year or two ago making super dope songs primarily for programs on the tv channel Mnet. They have another song they made for Itzy called 'Weapon' that is actually one of my favorite Itzy songs. The quality of that track is probably why Itzy's team brought Czaer on to do Racer for this album. Two other Czaer produced songs to check out are 'LAW' and 'SMF', which were created for the dance competition show Street Man Fighter. LAW features Bibi and Yoon Mi-rae, while SMF features Changmo.

It was never going to be a title track on any group's album. Title tracks have to appeal to the GP and not just people who like this style. Czaer does not sell his rights and as such NONE of his songs will ever be title tracks nor get a MV or a Choreo because the cost to profit margin is not there. He gets his royalties and residuals yet spends nothing to promote the song. JYPE and ITZY would eat the cost of the MV and all the releated content, costumes, stylist, choreographers etc. While Czaer would just sit back and collect. TITLE Tracks are 100% bought by the company and owned by the company. The song writters and producers get paid for their rights and contribution but sole ownership goes to JYPE that's how KPOP companies work. Any producer or song writer, or composer who wants to keep their rights, will not end up a title track.
The album name is CHECKMATE not Sneakers, Sneakers is the title track.

Weapon by ITZY is a song in the same style from the same composor/producer Czaer. He is a talented up and coming composer/producer, but the word on the KPOP scene is he has a bit of an ego, and will not straight up sell his material to any company which is why his songs won't end up getting MVs or land him a title spot on any album. He is amazing but unless he will outright sell a song, he will remain a talented B-side song producer. Seems he is holding out for one of his tracks to go viral and blow up on the streaming charts, which has yet to happen.

From what I understand itâs pronounced ryoojin Since In the Korean alphabet the first letter ăč was an R (in other situations it can be L) and the other ă was yu hence ë„ì§ hope it made sense đ
