I was in Florida which was nowhere near the path. I have seen one before and my husband (when he was still alive) did a photo when Mercury was crossing the Sun. He had ordered a heavy nearly black film to cover the camera lens for the photo. After he died, our friend Sheila (curator for local art gallery) and I found a lot of the nebulas, galaxies and planets that he had taken night photos of because his chemotherapy wouldn't allow him outside in the sun. His last Valentine's present to me was a photo of the twin galaxies, Heart and Soul. He had also done the Seven Sisters, Orion's Nebula, Tarantula, Jupiter, Saturn. He'd have to take 100 or so photos so the software could sort out the disturbances in the atmosphere. Sheila and I also had a twin display wall to put his landscapes and wildlife photos on that side when he could take sunlit photos. Nearly all of them sold. One 6th grade autistic boy was in the gallery and fell in love with a photo of 2 lightning bolts (one red, one blue) over the Gulf of Mexico at night. You could see the line of the shore and a few houses, the rest was the sky and water. His mom bought that for him. That young lad talked about it and it was his.
I actually had the day off (I work swing shift) and got to watch the eclipse from my apartment balcony. It definitely exceeded my expectations! Awesome cover, and I love your reactions!
I was with family and friends in Lost Pines TX, near Llano. We had a break in the clouds for a perfect view of 4:22 mins of totality. Truly an amazing time! And since I had patreon early access I listened to this during it!

In WV we had about 90% totality. It just looked so weird outside, like a bad storm was coming. There was just this little crescent-shaped sliver of the sun uncovered.
I tried to introduce this girl I work with to Geoff. She got scared at his low notes and refused to listen. I feel like I should apologize to someone.
Unfortunately, it was cloudy all day during the eclipse. Love this cover, I'm a Huge Chris Cornell fan.
All the tenors (and Layne) were just the sound of trying to escape Geoff's deep gravity bass notes!
I was on our back deck with our only pair of eclipse glasses & Hubby came out to borrow them 2 or 3 times! It was 96% where we live. 🤗

Since I’m retired, I just went outside my home to see it. Wasn’t full eclipse here, but it got noticeably darker, a little more that the annular eclipse last year.
And as for animals reacting - my cats didn’t care at all!

I was in a Wendy's parking lot dead ceter on the middle line. Drove 2 hours to get there then drove home. Home was 99%.

Was mostly cloudy here for the eclipse in eastern PA. It poked through for a few seconds, but nothing spectacular as it wasn't total for us here.
I took the day off before, during and after the eclipse and viewed the Totality in Carbondale, IL - home of Southern Illinois University - Go, Salukis!! This was the second totality in Carbondale in 7 years as the totality in 2017 went thru SIU then, as well! :)

I'm in the UK so it didn't happen here but I've seen a total eclipse before, years ago. It's quite an experience. I didn't know this song, I'm old and it wasn't a part of my experience, so I watched the original video which creeped me out so I didn't really hear the song. This though, I do enjoy.

We live just north of Austin Texas and the clouds parted in time for the eclipse. It was completely dark here. It was amazing!
In Florida walking the property and thinking weird, hurricane eye type light from the sun. Strange yellow tinge. So very much not much.
As a German living in Germany, I hadn't the pleasure to see this eclipse, but: I saw the one in 1999. I was during my apprenticeship and we had a BBQ on the company parking lot and enjoyed the hours around the actual eclipse.
And the video? Yeah! Instant "Top 5-Song" of VP for me. Every time when iconic songs and VP come together, I'm completely overwhelmed.🤩🥰

I still managed to see the last bit of the eclipse through overcast skies, but I couldn't have much enthusiasm at the time.
I live in Columbus Ohio the eclipse happened around 2pm. My ass was in bed since I work 3rd shift lol.
