I love terminal 5, I got a Horizon last year and it was $1,000 cheaper compared to here in the US, Gucci, Cartier and Hermes are a lot cheaper compared to other stores, Hermes and Gucci will give you tax free even if your passing thru and going to an EU country as long as you can present a ticket thats leaving the EU, however LV will not, you have to be leaving the EU for them to give you a discount, Sometimes I would purposely choose a flight that passes thru terminal 5 because of the shopping!!!

Apart from Gucci and Cartier, there is Harrods in Heathrow Terminal 5 which is also tax free no matter where you are travelling to. It has decent collection of YSL and Valentino. Don't know if any other shop offers tax free for EU destinations.
