Yes you are right, even in my 2022 1L Vento TSI I have replaced stock brake discs in initial 12000Kms due to poor QC & high localisation of parts. I was experiencing noises on braking and discs also got warped quite fast. I am using the stock brake pads though but again I am not satisfied with them.

Abhe bhai Japanese or korean dominates the Australian market and yahan aaja tuje Mazda ya Kia Stinger ki ride karaunga tu ye VW bhool jayega. Majority VW are High MAINTENANCE and less reliable. On the other hand Japanese are super tough cars.
