- Nighteye is probably one of my favorite new characters from My Hero Academia. Yet last episode he talked about something that I just can't seem to forget. So today I'm diving into a full theory on Nighteye's Quirk.

When u make a whole video theorizing on someone's quirk only to have, on the same day, the episode to drop to completely disprove it. Well, fun thought experiment nonetheless.
I'm pretty sure he can see as far into the future as he wants, however, it only lasts for one hour and then the 24h cooldown begins. This is why he could see the death of All Might.
Your reasoning may not be totally disproved. It’s possible Eri’s quirk is something that Nighteye’s quirk can’t account for.
Dustpan That's probably why when Deku was supposed to die (in today's episode, 76), he dodged. He was able to dodge because he was at a 100%, since Eri's quirk was able to heal him before he even felt pain.
Dustpan yea pretty much since it’s a time related quirk it’s theorized that that’s why Nighteye’s quirk couldn’t account for her. We know this is likely the case because as we progress in the manga we pretty much know for sure All Might will die just like Nighteye said he would ,so so far the only prediction he ever got wrong was the prediction of Midoriya being killed and Chisaki winning but Eri who has time rewinding quirk was there so it’s likely Nighteye’s quirk just can’t account for her.

I honestly think his Quirk is showing him the most likely future which would both explain why he's been right so often and how he can be wrong
I just think Eri's quirk just fucks with the time. The way Night Eye quirk works is he can see forward in time, if time takes its usual linear way. But what Eir quirk does, is the ability to bend the time,so once that quirk activated, the linear vision of Night Eye quirk become useless, because time no longer moves by itself.
Think like this. If I put a bullet into a gun, and shot it, I can calculate the exact place where that bullet will hit. But what if someone jumps in front of it? My calculations were still correct, but the results have been modified by someone who had the ability to intervene with the bullet trajectory
It was so sad, when he died and said to Mirio “Keep Smiling” As Mirio bursted into tears. His death will go down in MHA (BNHA) history

I don’t know about that. Eri’s quirk affects someone’s physical time. Not actual time. For example, if someone walked into a room and placed their phone on the desk Eri can’t rewind them to the point where they pick their phone back up and walk out of the room. She only rewinds a person’s body when she touches them. They still retain the same memories, decisions, and experiences. Eri’s quirk only affects their bodies. I don’t see how that would affect Nighteye’s quirk if all of the decisions and actions are the same.
Ren Davis bingo. What broke Nighteye’s quirk was Eri’s desire to finally be saved. He saw a future where Eri didn’t reach out and Deku tried to save her and was killed. She broke her trauma and made the decision to let Izuku save her rather than go back to Chisaki. Time was destined for her to stay w him because she is still traumatized. However when she broke from her trauma and desired to actually be saved by someone, it activated her power and undid nighteyes prediction.

correction on the line "he can see 1 hour in the future". Its actually "for 1 hour he can see into that persons future, the further he goes the less accurate it becomes" so lets say he looks into 2 people future, Person A only has the future for the next 30 min seen while Person B has it for 2 years later. Person B is more like to be Iffy or at the least kinda hard to be detailed/exact about

@MinecraftPro15 no, he can only use his foresight quirk for one hour on a single person per day. If he uses it on himself, he can only see his future for the next hour and then he cant use it on anyone else, even himself, until the next day.
He uses it on overhaul/himself in quick burst during their brief fight by trying to see just a seconds to make optimal decisions. 14:41 of episode 75 "unforseen hope" and Chapter 154 in the manga
@MinecraftPro15 It's never really explained how he experiences the future when he uses his quirk. It might be second person, as the anime shows, it might be first person, as the manga sort of describes it, or it might be a combination of perspectives.
If I had to guess for how he sees multiple people in the future, it is because the one person he is observing the future of also observes the events involving the other people.
Yeah. Just know time abilities outside of the basic "Za Warudo" time freeze are kind of annoying to explain especially/show in physical mediums
I believe Eri's Quirk negated Nighteye's Quirk. He saw Chisaki go after Deku and kill him which would've been true but Eri was like rewind time. Deku basically died again and again while fighting Chisaki.
imatreeefrmNZ exactly... sometimes people look so deeply into something they neglect the obvious evidence in front of them, if Eri rewinds time it negates the ability for nighteye to see the true outcome cause she essentially kept time from reaching that point
I thought the thing with Midoryia's death was because of Eri. Like, Eri has a time manipulating quirk, so Nighteye's foresight can't account for it. Midoryia would have died when he used 100%, but Eri saved him by messing with time.
Little-known fact about Schrödinger's cat, from everything I've read about it is actually a thought experiment to "disprove" the possibility of two cats existing at the same time.
Also something else to consider is Eri has the power to 'rewind' living things. One could interpret this is the ability to rewind fate

I considered that theory too, Eri is the reason Midoriya survived. But the other theory is Nighteye has selective viewing he sees the most likely future to happen altho there can be others
@@tenebrisventus6435 I had considered the possibility as well, but being able to change the most likely future still requires a significant amount of effort. The combination of Midoriya's unbreakable determination and Eri's miraculous abilities allow them to find a 1% possibility out of the 99% certainty.

Also on the point of Eri's power you said she can rewind living things correct?, so therfore couldn't she rewind All Might so he has his quirk One for Allin his prime state or Mirio so he has his quirk back before he lost it in his battle with Overhaul, or even Midoriya so he has his OG quirk before the evil doctor dude stole it?
@@tenebrisventus6435No, One for All is its own entity it would not be affected Eri's power, at best all might may get younger but there is no telling what kind of side effects will come from that. All might would not regenerate his quirk because he never had one in the first place. Mirio is a possibility but nothing has been confirmed and Midoriya never had his quirk stolen, that's just the fan theory.

Maybe gran torino's advice comes from a place of experience rather than ignorance? As in, he too has seen a lot of death, and he knos that if he'd stop and thinkabout it he wouldn't be able to keep going
Most likely. Gran Torino is pretty old and it seems most of his generation is gone. He's probably looking at it being too much of a dependent and a strain on a relationship, rather than what should be of concern. All Might already has a messed up body, so in many regards: he ain't gonna die a calm death. Not only that, but Gran probably has encountered similar quirk users who over thought things and it just ended worst for them.

Aysel ENGİN I don’t think Gran Torino was really wrong in what he said. If the future is set in stone, and we constantly were to stress about something we can’t change, it’s effectively no different than stressing on the past, because Is something we know is done when it’s done. It can’t be changed. I bet if Gran Torino were in Nighteye’s same situation he’d feel the same way. But for example look at Red Riot and his words that inspired Kirishima. The truth about being Hero is that often times you just have to take things head on even if you can’t, and that truth won’t change. But if you let that fear paralyze you, after what’s done is over, you won’t be able to anything about it. So even if you’re afraid, you have to face it as if you aren’t. Gran Torino knows Nighteye can’t change the future he sees, but if he’s afraid of his own quirk or dealing with the future that he sees, he’ll lose what it means to be a hero and the significance of his quirk is effectively nullified.

KRiSPY no he can just see into that person’s future it isn’t necessarily that person’s whole life it could be or it could be 2 years into that person’s future or a week into a person’s future etc.

Determined De'Mur no I don’t think it makes the action less accurate but rather the time period of when that event will happen.
@@MjDee When he looks farther into the future, the details surrounding what he sees become fuzzy. He's seen All Might's death, but he doesn't know when exactly he will die, nor how exactly he will die. All Sir saw was All Might dying a gruesome death.

That's the sad thing about nighteye's character actually - the future CAN be changed, it was actually his own doubt in the ability to change the future that meant it never changed. Nighteye is meant to represent the modern day Japanese businessman who is so resigned to his fate that he truly believes it can never be changed.

The Schrodinger's Cat thing was dead on my guy. Its more like, AS Nighteye sees their future and KEEPS seeing their future, is when their death STAYS as truth. But when he got impaled, his tape runs out, meaning he DEACTIVATED his quirk. He cant confirm someones future without his quirk, in other words, its almost as if Schrodinger's peaked into the box, saw what he perceived to be a death, had someone SHUT the box for him and then he looked again only then to see something different.
Basically, Nighteye cant predict the objective/absolute future, he can only confirm his prediction and KEEP it as a reality as long as his quirk is active. (I think thats y gran torino told him not to think about it, cuz if he doesnt, his quirk cant confirm it yanno)

Not necessarily, the tape getting cut off was when HE got stabbed, but it was shown later on that did in fact see further and had actually seen Midoriya die and Chisaki escape. Even shows more tape of that later on.
I think that's pretty much right, actually. It seems as though as long as he is using his quirk, what he sees is going to happen for certain, but when it is deactivated and he couldn't see the future, it was able to change. This might be why events further into future are less likely to be as he sees them.
Also, when his tape ended, did anyone else think that meant he died? I was a little confused about that

Great analysis!! Nighteye is one of my favourite characters from this season, not just because he's secretly ripped (that's just a bonus) but also because of how cool his quirk is and how loveable he's turned out to be as a hero

His quirk is when he looks into the future it will show him the most likely out come for what ever he is looking at. It isn’t anything about observation. This is why in a fight he can “predict” the opponent’s moves but also allows for the future to be changed like deku does. The reason he thinks it decides the future it every time he looks it is the most likely outcome meaning it will almost certainly happen and if you never fail at a prediction you will believe that you decide the future with what you see

On the Quantum mechanics ...
The basis of the theory is that, given a system of variables. In Quantum physics, the act of checking the state of a variable on this system changes it's state, making it so it's impossible to be certain on the state of anything in this system.
To keep the examples simple, people use variables that can assume only two values 0 or 1. So, any variable that can't be confirmed to be 0 or 1 are considered 0 and 1. And this is the point of confusion that generates the Schrödinger's cat problem, and the problem with Nighteye.
Nighteye, like how it is with the Schrödinger's cat, believe that once he saw a future, that's the only state/value that can exist for that variable from that point forward. But the fact is that, since then the variable "future" was changed by the act of Nighteye looking into it, and can be anything again (even the same "value").
When Nighteye sees a future, the reality is that, the future he saw will not happen. Because, that's a future where he didn't used his Quirk. But now, future that will happen, will be one affected by Nighteye's knowledge of that other future.
The real problem I see with Nighteye, is that he is extremely cautious with his quirk, and his controlling nature tends to push him to, unintentionally, make decisions that will favor the future he predicted, the one he already believes it's set in stone.
So, I don't believe that "the universe is fighting back", I actually believe is, it's more that he, unknowingly, is guaranteeing that his prevision comes true. By, while being the only one with actual knowledge to change things, taking decisions based on what he is already certain that must happen.
But ... That's only my interpretation of things, based on the little I know of the theory.
Gran Torino is right though. Have you spoken to EMTs, Homicide Detectives, Military personnel or anyone dealing with suicide prevention. If you are thinking about all those people you will drive yourself insane.
we might live in a perfectly deterministic universe. there's a theory that there are guide waves that we can't observe yet that actually determine all the quantum stuff that seems random. afaik we haven't proven that one way or another.
That was a theme for worm universe and that the waves varie from parrallele universe. And by knowing this constant you predict the futur. However that take a lot energy as shown by ptv. There is also gilgamesh fate clairvoyance who use similar principals by comparing nearby parallel univers with his own.
I'll try to keep it brief: quantum mechanics are misunderstood by the general media. We don't know the formula but things can be predicted. We know at what rate certain atoms decay, we don't know when a particular one would do, but we know that after a certain time half of them would decay.
If in the universe there's nothing else than the physical reality (that includes energy) then everything is determined. Because necessarily a certain action would cause a certain reaction and so on, and nothing could escape that. Besides, it's known that we perceive time as a sequence, but time-space is more of a block thing. Just as Dr. Manhattan perceived it. This does fit perfectly with Nighteye's quirk.
Now, if there's more in reality than the physical, like spirit, soul and such, then it may not be deterministic.
You got the cat example very wrong. The cat is never alive and dead at the same time, it's either one or the other, it's just that we can't know unless we check. Just like that.

Railgun actualy is using a lot of quantum physics, main example is all espers who use observer effect to manifest their powers. And diagram tree actualy also calculate probabilities, but it's accuracy is so high that it's seems to be 100%.

@@elysteco it reverses the PERSONS PHYSICAL TIME not the TIMELINE which is what nighteye sees.
It reverses their LIFETIME. It doesn't reverse their actions in the past 5 minutes, which would mess with a 'future' quirk.
So no, Eri's quirk CANNOT affect nighteye's predictions. The only thing Eri can do to nighteye right now is rewind his physical body to absolute oblivion.
Also, Nighteye’s “movie” gets cut off, he was so used to seeing people die in the future he probably thought “welp he’s dead”

I think his quirk is like a dream. His foresight may take some interpreting. Kind of like All-Mights death. It kinda was the "end of All-Might," but only as a hero.
I don't think it's that complex. I reckon that Eri's Quirk is basically invisible to Nighteye as she could revert something back to its previous state. Originally, Deku would have used 100% to get Eri outside and by doing so, lost the use of his legs. Where he is then killed by Overhaul. What Nighteye didn't see was the effect Eri had on Deku (reverting him back to before the damage was done). It's like if someone had a quirk to go back in time and they used it to kill Nighteye when he was a child. He wouldn't be able to see it happen using his quirk as that future wouldn't exist for him.
His powers is supposed to help guide the people in his foresight. Night eye isn't the one that should change their future. It's the people in his visions are the ones that are supposed to change their future.

(trying to keep this spoiler free, vaguely allude to some things though) My take on night eye's quirk is that he gets a simulation of what will happen, but extreme situations can go beyond what it is capable of simulating. In regular situations he gets basically an exact 1:1 simulation with what will happen. But when things that push past the limits of what his quirk can simulate are viewed, he may end up wrong. Perhaps one limit is that his quirk just cant account for how much power one of all could put out and thus it was incorrect, or it isn't able to simulate certain other people's quirks. That's just my take on it
I'm pretty sure Nighteye sees what is believable to himself, because All Might was injured he saw an image of him dying, because he saw all might dying he saw an image of his successor Midoriya dying
I thought it worked like this, he did saw midoriyas current future, however when eri rewinded him making the previous deku no longer exist. Now this “rewinded” midoriya has a new future which nighteye hasn’t read yet.
This seems more realistic imo
or maybe one for all has a quirk that allows them to change the future with enough willpower
Very good work connecting this concepts with the bnah universe, I knew the Schrodinger's cat experiment but never actually thought of connecting it to the nighteye quirk

A couple thoughts.
1. If the tape cuts off because Nighteye dies then he wouldn't have seen All Might die in the future because Nighteye would already be dead.
2. I think that if he can see things beyond his own death then since he already observed All Might dying then it is set in stone.
Now an interesting thought is that at some point timelines changed and I think I know why as well. We have one future where All Might dies AND Midoriya dies. Remember Nighteye thought Mirio would become the successor and knew nothing of Midoriya until he was told about him. This means there is a fair chance that in this future where All Might dies that Midoriya is dead as well and that is why Nighteye did not know of him, this is uncertain though. The other future is the current timeline Where Midoriya lives and possibly All Might as well.
For this to occur there would need to be a quirk that Midoriya was influenced by between the time Nighteye saw the Future and the time it got changed. Eri has a time altering quirk. This is literally the only explanation I can come up with that Nighteye's quirk does not take into account quirks that alter time. In-fact due to that there may have been NO future where All Might dies because his quirk could not calculate for Eri at all and it is unreasonable to assume she wouldn't use her uncontrollable quirk when Deku grabbed her.
Basically any time Eri uses her ability any future sight abilities get messed up because now there is something messing with time to consider and they just can't account for that. They continue to calculate as if that ability does not exist because it can not be comprehended.

My theory is that Midoria's recording being cut has to do with Eri.
She rewinds thing, while Sir Nighteye sees the future. Now how can the universe explain molecules that should have advanced into a future state, exist in the "present"? That would make Sir Nighteye's prediction stop, again for intervention of the universe seeking balance when quirks cause impossibilities (like 2 masses occupying the same space at the same time).
In other words, Eri can work as a perfect counter to Sir's quirk, causing it to stop working if Eri choses to rewind someone at any point of the perceivable future.
Juanma Railgun this was my exact thought. Night eye’s quirk doesn’t take in account for rewind. In a way Eri has the counter to Nighteye’s quirk - if anything they were designed to be revealed that way because it makes complete sense. One is able to predict the future - and the other is able to reverse it.

I think Sir Nighteye can only see one possible outcome of the future, there are always alternative futures based on the action one takes. For instance maybe he saw a future were it was likely for Izuku and him to die, but that future only changed (the alternative), because Eri used her rewind quirk? If she hadnt Izuku wouldnt be able to use One For All full cowling at 100 percent and win against Overhaul.
I think deku already had a quirk, "tears of fate", basically being able to change fate whenever he starts tearing up.
QM only applies to small scales, in the maths as number of particles gets really big most wave functions begins to collapse to a single value
What if Deku, indeed, died at some point during the battle with Overhaul, but was revived immediately thanks to Eri's quirk? Nighteye could have seen part of Deku's battle with Overhaul, specifically the part where he's reconstructing a gigantic body in the air
If this is indeed what he saw, then he could have misinterpreted what it all truly meant
He saw Chisaki outside, then the tape got cut off (Deku died, then was brought back at some point) and got to that conclusion
the thing with his quirk is that it may interact with eris. Eri is turning back time aka if you want to be precise, Deku never went forward in time. He went back his body never reached the death night eye saw because his time was turning backwards. Aka Nighteye is always right and his future cannot be changed unless someone messes with time and that seems to be a very rare if not unheard of quirk.
This is underminded with overhauls statement that her quirk goes further than rewinding. So yeah most likly the change in the future of deku was because his qurik is unable to see more than one timeline and timelines can only changed by messing with time aka things like eris quirk.

For anyone who saw S4E13, Eri’s Quirk is the only known Quirk who can counteract Nighteye’s. Eri’s Quirk is Rewind, which can reverse time on a person or object to a previous point in its existence. Basically a stronger version of Crazy Diamond. Because Eri’s Quirk is rewinding time, it’s preventing outcomes from reaching its conclusion. Nighteye saw Midoriya dying, because according to his visions, Midoriya’s legs were shattered from One For All usage, which would leave him vulnerable to Chisaki’s attack; but Eri’s Rewind reverses the damage Midoriya done to his leg which now makes that prediction moot as Midoriya’s legs are no longer broken and he isn’t vulnerable to Chisaki’s attack. One might ask themselves: Why can’t Nighteye see Eri healing the damage? It’s because Eri’s Rewind isn’t simple healing or erasing from existence, it is reversing time itself on an individual she uses it on. It’s like being about to be run over by a car, but a time traveller comes out and pulls you out of the way; as far as fate is concerned, you were supposed to be run over and die, but the time traveller stopped that and fate has been changed. Eri is the time traveller, except instead of going back to the past, she rewinds a person or object to a previous point in time.
In conclusion, Eri and Nighteye are the only two with time-based Quirks, but while Nighteye’s Quirk decides fate, Eri has the power to change fate itself with her Quirk, either by removing those she touches out of existence or healing damage done to them.

I think Nighteye's quirk is 100% accurate. He can look straight into the future of the timeline. However, Eri's power allows her to move people through that timeline, thus changing it. She is an unforeseeable variable for Nighteye.
Like, physics are pretty exact, right? Imagine you have an experiment in a vacuum, maybe an object falling. You know every value you need to calculate exactly how fast it is going to fall and exactly at which moment it is going to hit the floor. However, halfway through the experiment, the mass of the object randomly changes. This is not something you could've predicted, so now the result will change.
Nighteye's quirk takes into account every variable. For example, Midoriya being hurt and using One For All 100%. But Eri randomly changed him, she cured him, she changed one of the variables. And since it is a time related ability, this is a variable that Nighteye can't take into account.
At least that's my theory. Don't know about the manga or anything so no spoilers please. As for All Might's future, if Nighteye saw Deku's death against Overhaul, that means the future he saw for All Might had no Deku in it. Now that Deku (or rather, Eri) changed the outcome of Overhaul's fight, everything else in the timeline Nighteye saw has to change, even if Eri doesn't interfere anymore.
I think that nighteye is going to die, so maybe the future that he saw. Its no the same anymore
I think you’re right about Nighteyes quirk affecting Quantum Certainty, but Eri’s Rewind is probably what can get around it, since on one level it can affect Time, it can cause the universe to reconsider an observed variable, forcing it to “retry” an equation or odds, and potentially come out with something different

There is the possibility that dying and coming back to life could cut the tape as well. Meaning he only sees them when they live

Actually the thing is that the particles get so small that their potential properties cannot be observed, as you cannot observe without interactions with photons for example.
My theory is Since Nighteye's quirk has to do with Time, only another time quirk can manipulate it.
So basically Nighteye saw one future. But since Eri intervened with Midoriya's time, it changed the future.
Its kinda if 2 people had time machines and it was a linear timeline, Who ever changes the time last will be the one responsible for the reality that occurs in the future.

Well, maybe Nighteye's quirk works like the Laplace's Demon (calculates every atom, force, speed, etc) to predict the future.
But, just like the Schrödinger's cat, the future he predicts isn't set in stone because it is just one possibility (the most likeable to happen) of many others.
i personally think that a persons health play a huge factor on how one's quirk acts and thats why nighteye quirk stopped working concidently at the time when midoria got hurt!... making him believe that midoria will die but later as he was dying he was relieved that his quirk could be wrong sometimes and all might have hope!

One more thing is that we see the flashback end when he sees the future in that episode(he and izuku dying) signifying that he dies, but if he dies before all might death, how did he see it(all might death) before? The future he had predicted about all might have in fact changed already...
Noein has an interesting take on quantum mechanics and observing possible futures. It's not accurate, but makes for a great story in context.

The point where nighteye's "Tape" cut off was the point Eri rewound him to with her powers. cause his leg was fixed. Deku then using 100% locks his body into that point with him dealing damage and Eri undoing it. So it would be easy to say Deku's body/ time time is paused. So Nighteye is just seeing that play out in his quark. That's the best i got at least. Could be plot armor, most likely has something to do with Eri, maybe nighteye has a giant hole in his chest and his quark aint workin so good.

the reason nighteye's foresight or why his prediction didn't happen is because
if Eri's quirk can rewind(and we don't really in what extent to what property can Eri rewind), and maybe it diffuses nighteye's quirk.
If Nighteye can peek into the future(FORWARD), what happens if Eri can negate it through her quirk (BACKWARD)
My theory is that his work is useless unless he’s involved with it because with anything he’s involved with it happens. But the one instance he wasn’t involved like when Dekku was fighting the leader fused with the giant monster Dekku didn’t die.

I dont think he can see 1 hr into the future. He can see as far as he wants but he only has access to that information for 1 hr
I think the biggest problem is when he says that he has tried to change the future and was unsucceful.
We are all used to time manipulation following the rules of Butterfly Effect. The future is usually portraied as something that is easily changeable, that one person's action can do it. I think it is just that Nighteye's actions alone weren't enough to change the future, specialy becuase he is seeing into other people's lives, which he has no control over.
His predictions being more innacurate the further in the future he looks would be an expected consequence. The more time passes, more things can actually change. Maybe a lot of things have to change to alter the future, or maybe only specific things being changed can affect the future - much like Doctor Who and fixed points in time (important events that shape the timeline).
I mean, we know that nighteye saw farther into the future than that because he said he saw what happened after; they go to the surface and fight, where deku dies and overhaul escapes. That animation was just for suspense.
SOMETHING changed the outcome of what nighteye saw. Nighteyes quirk has some flaw in it that we dont understand, and he likely doesnt either.

we don't have to observe to make a perfect prediction, if we can map every particle, it's intensity, range and effect we can perfectly predict how each particle will interact with each other and determine the future, unless some particles use true random in which case every single prediction would branch with every true random interaction into a new line of predictions or a parallel universe

I may be reaching, but your comment on Gran Torino's advice to Nighteye regarding his quirk got me thinking of Star Wars. I know the mangaka is a Star Wars fan, hence the many locations in the series named after locations in the films, but I'm wondering if the parallels go even further. It's obvious that Gran Torino is somewhat inspired by Yoda, and the scene where he tells Nighteye not to think about the tragedy and trauma that comes with his quirk reminded me of the scene in Revenge of the Sith where Anakin goes to Yoda for guidance since he's been having visions of people dying and how it traumatizes him, and Yoda's advice to Anakin, while not the exact message Torino gave, is in a similar vain of just "letting it go, not thinking about it too much" which in both cases have been universally viewed as bad advice.

I have not seen all the episodes of BNHA but I am a very curious person that at this point, I don't mind spoiling myself content (since I enjoy it either way and get surprised by it seeing it in action and also because I see content in no particular order).
Anyways, since Midoriya is the main character, what if he actually gets to be the #1 hero, he was able to finally overcome his obstacles (both physically and mentally), but this is not a happy-ending story for the protagonist. If Midoriya dies, then I would say that whatever conflict and ultimate battle he will had to face is a big and critical one, not only for him but for everyone, and in that battle he was able to prove to everyone (Bakugou as his foil character and his constant rival) and himself that he is truly a real hero. With his death he becomes immortalized, kinda like Iron Man who in spite of dying he is regarded as /the/ superhero. With this it will also accomplish Bakugo becoming the #1 hero as he had always wanted, but say that impact and earned respect from Midoriya's final fight earn him to change his flaws and see his wrongs. Bakugo would no longer be this ass to everyone and become a real hero. And for the rest of the characters and from the next generation they will remember Midoriya the same way they thought of All Might.
Now this is me not even watching this video to the full, but I just had this idea that I wanted to share.
Nighteye had the most tragic power. He could foresee the future deaths if hundred of people and no matter how hard he tried, he could not change their future. Until he met Deku, he believed the future he saw was set in stone and nothing could change it. In the end, Deku created his own future and Nighteye was relivied that the future he foresaw did not come true and it can be changed.
But the simpsons always predicts the future and gets in right

Hey Matt, all is not lost. You have to consider that to make a quantum state definite, you have to conduct a measurement. One for All inheritors are oddballs in this sense. Aspects of their nature (e.g. the prior inheritors of the power) may literally be outside of normal space time. Meaning, there are aspects of a One for All's existence that may be beyond Nighteyes ability to observe. As such, Midoriya may have an inherent capacity to choose his path. Which is the essence of a hero (someone whose dreams inspire the heaven's to such a degree that they are "granted" the capacity to change an adverse fate).
As a side question, what would you think of Eri's abilities applied to One for All so as to rewind him to a post injury state?

Interesting theory, something I've thought of and agree with to an extent. There is an alternative though. Presuming everything you've said was correct, Eri's quirk can be the anomaly that ruined his prediction. If Eri rewinds the time of an individual, then she is actively resetting what was observed. If Nighteye re-observed the situation with his quirk, then he would know that Deku would be alive.

I think its like Garnet from Steven Universe. It shows him the most likely thing to happen, but not the thing that will happen.
I think he was just a symbolic character to show that the future is not set in stone in this universe and can be changed through actions, at least for every time after the point Deku defeats Chisaki.
