theres more info in the IG post but the BL Weiss card that was traded is a 2018 1st place regional prize winner and is 1 of 18, it is IMO the most expensive Weiss card in the game. Many of the copies are OC and are being hoarded in Japan so it rarely comes up for sale and in good condition. Raw copies have sold for ~15k

The current price for a BL is $50k but no one is taking the offer lol. The true most expensive Weiss card is actually a set card, not a prize card.
I would love to see a video on Kimagure’s collection! Other Japanese collections would be cool too, since we often overlook that stuff in the TCG space, but clearly they are thriving in the OCG based on that subscriber count!

Cards like this definitely deserve that kind of price. Not just because they were prize cards but also because of the big tsunami that hit Japan so we don’t even know how many cards were destroyed and we don’t even know how many copies are even out there now.

as someone who got into Weiss Schwarz recently, some cards can be INSANE. They even have some cards that are 1 of like 10 that you can chase. It's def way more niche, but the values in weiss schwarz can be insane.
edit: I KNEW IT. I KNEW IT WAS A MAI CARD. Mai specifically is a BIIIIIIG chase card and the trophy Mai makes sense as what went towards the trade.

For 2018, the g3-11 dark magician girls were randomly included in japanese first print 2018 starter deck. The regular ones include a sealed token with one of the main characters of yugioh on it as a bonus card, but a few of them ramdomly included one of the past promo cards instead including not only g3-11 dark magician girl, but also jump festa bewd, UR kanan the swordmistressn etc. Since there is still a chance that some of the promo including starter decks are not opened, a sealed case of first print 2018 starter deck goes for around 2k.

I would like to add, that while I agree that it's hard to evaluate the WS card at 100k since there's no precedent, the guy did spend 3 weeks researching and consulting with other people. Might just be that it's more highly valued over there as WS is a bigger game in Japan.

Fun fact....I believe the small amount of sealed vesions came form the 20th anniversary decks as randomly inserted hits instead of tokens.

Just for popularity info march this year there was a list published for fall 2021 where yugioh is 3. and Weiss is 6. place for most crossing Tcgs
I got into collecting with yugioh and now mostly collect Weiss so they are my favourite tcgs however I don’t think the cards would actually sell for the price it was valued in the trade (125k dmg and 100k Black label Emilia 1of18)
The 9.5 mai in the trade was valued at 20k which is 100% realistic imo but I really don’t see someone paying 100k for a blacklabel Emilia at least as of now (however in terms of prices Weiss has IMO the potential to put out more then one graded 100k+ cards at least for cards Like a TD mai or some price cards that are naturally rare, even for Weiss being fairy new there are a handful cards that sell for 10k+ raw allready and compared to modern games like metazoo or flesh and blood it has more potential to be relevant in the long run. Idk about yugioh/pokemon/mtg however with Weiss having so many different t IPs incl even the likes of Pixar/Star Wars/Marvel for Jp and so many waifus with awesome card quality it’s definitely here to stay so I think in the future someone might actually pay 100k for a Weiss card)
