Fun head canon for the microphone.
The shoulder "cannons" are actually shoulder mounted amplifiers designed to be a personal ORCA for Kong. And the mic allows him to amplify his roars so he can control other monsters easier/from a further distance.
I assumed the microphone just controls the cannons. He roars to make them shoot.

While they don't go all the way over the top as the trendmasters figures it's a great callback to those.
Honestly it reminds me of the gvk leaked toy pictures and this is just a way for them to do what they were supposed to do and what everyone wanted. Those leaked pictures were so much better
But I guess these are kind of cool too. But I would like if you didn’t have to transform them because the original designs didint have to be transformed

@@KingDrakoTyrell The Mega Godzilla toy definitely looked better than Titan Tech, but at the same time the play value of what we got is actually a bit better. Just having armor parts that snap on would be cool but would also mean a billion of the buggers on eBay with none of the accessories. At least this way most of the parts aren't able to be lost.

When I first saw these, I was instantly reminded of those old Trendmasters toys were Godzilla monsters would be equipped with snap on armor.
The body horror doesn't disturbed me, in which is shocking I know, but these figures do look balls to the wall bonkers in a badass way.
I guess this is as close to us having a Transformers X Godzilla crossover.

Funny thing, Godzilla was mentioned in the original Marvel Transformers comics since it technically took place in the same universe due to how they handle their IPs. There was also a character called Cruellock in the Transformers Energon toyline that was specifically designed to look like TriStar Godzilla, and another character named Strongarm who was based on a MASER Tank.

If I had to guess, they had the molds from the old toy designs that went with the old script that involves Godzilla getting a trapping exoskeleton that drained his power and decided to make an accompanying Kong so it didn't stick out

Missing the comment I responded to for context, but that would mean they drained Godzilla to power a robot to kill Godzilla so that... they would not need Godzilla.
There is virtually no evidence this was ever a plot point that was considered in any of the scripts. While there was plenty of cut content the armored Godzilla was always just that, a toy gimmick that got taken out of proportion.
If you really wanted to see Godzilla and Kong being trypticon and Optimus primal, then this is a gift for you.
Godzilla, Terrorize!
I bought these last summer for my four year old son who loves Godzilla and transforming toys. He still plays with them often and he younger brother has started playing with them as well. Super weird concept, but great toys.
I feel like these should show up in MIB where the joke is they're all generically anime but when they transform its step by step exactly how the toy does it and it freaks everyone else out.

These actually remind me of Playmates other toy line the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, specifically their Mutating toys. Actions figures of the turtles as normal turtles that with a few steps would change into the heroes in a half shell that we all know and love.
Then later they went nuts and had them turn into the Turtle Van and other vehicles.

8:51 Speaking of Eternia, these toys remind me of an old Masters of the Universe toy called Rio Blast. He was a human who somehow could sprout guns from his body in a similar manner that didn't really make sense if you thought about it at all, including guns that sprang forth from his hollowed out torso and thighs.
The only reason I would get one of these would be for that bad ass Ax! Also can’t wait for the Plush!
I think they're fun! I picked up Godzilla from my local Target. After collecting soft vinyls and vintage collectibles for as long as I have, it was refreshing for me to pick up something that was meant to be a toy, something that you actually play with as opposed to just sitting it on a shelf.
Wow, I did not know there was this much transformation on these figures! I always thought they were just snap on armor like the 90s Trendmasters. Pretty impressive! Another great video bud!
If I were a kid, I would eat this up! I don't know how horrified I would be at the idea of splitting them open though. Right now, I find the idea both morbidly hilarious and down right terrifying.

I know this is MUCH different but this is how I feel about what they have been doing since the 90s with DC / Marvel toys. I currently collect Marvel Legends and am a HUGE Marvel fan & collector. And when the kid’s line comes into play, ANYTHING goes. I love looking at the Titan series because of how insane they are.

Hey MIB. Here is one similar. I think by the end of this year or beginning of next year there is a new Bandai toys involved with Shin Godzilla, Shin Ultraman, Shin Kamen Rider, and EVA unit 01. The Shin Super Hero toy that literally turn these 4 characters into freaking Power Rangers Megazord. I think you should review that bizarre figure/toy when it comes out.

Speaking of Optimist Primal, Kong’s head twist feels similar to how the Optimist Primal toy would transform its head. I don’t know if the manufacturers made an intentional nod or if it’s just pure coincidence.

The fact that MIB calls Kong Optimus Primal is more funnier in context for the OG Beast Wars
Basically, the original Primal and Megatron toys weren't a Monkey and a T-Rex, Primal was a bat (based off Batman, funnily enough), and Megatron was a gator, and apparently they were both the same as the G1 80s Characters, don't ask, Transformers is pretty complicated, but for the versions we know of, Monkey Primal and T-Rex Megatron was actually based off King Kong, which is funnier as Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen himself) was the roars of the 70s King Kong, though he was uncredited, and Frank Welker was part of the roars for the 98 American Goji, same with the cartoon

I’ve got two titan tech armor kaiju so yeah I like them it’s like trendmasters’ battle armored kaiju only you don’t attach them you transform them so it’s like transformers mixed with trendmasters godzilla battle armor
I have Godzilla and the main reason I got him is because it's so batsh*t crazy of a concept. But judging by the Ninja turtles history, Playmates does know what they're doing, I ain't mad at it.

I think a year ago, Target had SH Monsterarts of KVG Kong and Godzilla. Dont know why they had them but i wished Target would have had Monsterarts MechaGodzila. I have the playmates Mecha Godzilla in the collection with my Monsterarts Figures.

When going to target one time I found the titan tech kong in mid-head flip and I first thought the figure’s head was missing until I came closer to it.
Fun Fact: Godzilla's action figure here was going to have red armer in the GvK toyline.
