P.S. Can you please allow the player to individually control armies? It is so annoying when your army does some random bs in the corner or uses all the money to buy level 1 troops. Can you also allow to view the mapping by swiping around? It is very hard to direct armies to go to a town or army when it isn't on the screen?
@@devinhigoy221 He could . Still just , if you have to change of army leave the bots far from the front and take charge . They don`t understand very well "strategy"

I here is a suggestion make a game like this but instead it’s medivalhoppers were you start as a squire and work to become a knight. Just a suggestion, and for the strategy mode here Britain, France, Germany, and the Vikings, same classes but different skins and stuff. Just a wish though. Love the game, have not been able to put it down. Just beat it today to@@and3rs

Please, please, please work more on gladdihoppers, its great! It's like your most successful game if I'm correct. It's my personal favourite of your game library, I love it and I'm sure everyone else does to!
I actually thought that this gamemode feels a little like mount and blade, and thats why i liked it. I am positively surprised that its actually based on mount and blade

4:34 didn't know you could change baby code :D Cool mechanic! Never played Mount & Blade but I like how it provides more context to the game. The background battlefield and Italy map looks sick as well. The voiceovers are great as well xD Nice work!

To be frank, an update that gives us the ability to play through the Second Punic war and the First Punic war would be cool, but that would consume so much time and effort. The idea of the Carthaginians finally being in Gladihoppers would be a dream.
Yeah but unfortunately I've stopped making big updates to Gladihoppers! :-( ... Working on new games now, one of which is a spiritual successor to Gladihoppers!

I love the concept of Spartacus War...like its so addicting. How about adding double light weapons(swords, axes except mace) instead of shield...like as a specific character(Double swordsman or Double axeman(has less hp but brutal attack))

Game devs please add a feature where your gold from career mode can be used in the Spartacus game mode, and please add a money system for Spartacus mode for upgrading and stuff, using power for recruiting seems a bit weird rather than using gold for recruitment but meh, it will be a lot cooler, thanks for the great update! - OG Gladihopper player
Thanks! What you're suggesting I think would have required me to have planned Gladihoppers out better before I started making it to tie all the game modes into each other etc... I kind of just improvised and I don't think I'll do that many more updates from now on... I kind of want to move on to making something better (possibly also bigger)

I live how chill you are. I started playing a few days ago and I didn't really understand how to play this mode (still don't understand how to recruit lol), but to see how u made it and what all went into it, and how cool of a game dev u are, this game is now in my top 3, which are all tied, and they are gladihoppers, pixel car racer, and retro bowl (I love pixel games). And to see that you have more game modes to come makes me excited for the game even more, and might make this game my number 1! I also love how you did the ads in career mode because you can choose to gain health, coin, and fame (which I'm happy to help support you by watching the ads!) I wish you the best, and I can't wait for more to the game! P.S. I love ur voice acting lol
Well if u love pixel games u might wanna try out sheltered then lol:Its a post-apocalyptic survival resource management game.Its really fun;)
Ps:The mobile version is still at 1.0,so I'd HIGHLY recommend that u play the 1.9 version for pc lol(u can also copy-paste the 1.9 version to ur phone once u've unpacked it after downloading it and play it on ur phone that way aswell lol)

An amazing game i just found last night
I love how coincidently at 1:26 during the video you mention that we are 1:29 seconds into the video and that’s the time when ai happened to accidentally restart the video 😂 (Basically I knew where to get back lol)

And I'd really love to see a medieval version of gladihoppers, either 2d or fps (despite Bloody Bastards already existing) would love to hear news and answers from you! (And if it is medievalhoppers, hope Byzantium will be a location and have armor and weapons from them!)

Also I'm happy you chose low fantasy because i can't stand the wierd leather armor and the horned viking helmets and the gigantic axes

I found out about this game like 2 weeks ago and I'm maxed at it I hope that you'll make more gamemodes or update spartacus wars to add Greece ships or l something like that I support you bc this game is super cool and little bit funky
I have few suggestions good sir. It might be a good idea to allow people to merge armies outside the cities. And when you command an army to move somewhere it should obay the command instead of changing course. This allows more stratigic hit and run plays or wait for opportune moments to attack like age of empires 2. I'd love to see this game grow. Blessings of stendarr upon ye.

I have developed 2 strategies to beat the game as either Ptolemy or Spartacus, For Ptolemy you need to hire nothing but Nile warriors bcuz they are cheap swordsmen and are very strong when a skilled human is using them, Always rush your enemies as a Nile warrior but back off when enemies start moving at you and start doing heavy attacks, Just use Nile warriors and you can beat your enemies, For Spartacus rebellion i found that doing Guerilla tactics and plundering towns for more Gold then ditching is a very effective strategy at surviving, Currently in my spartacus run its day 70 and after those 70 days of running and conquering small towns and accumulated 9999 gold and have an army full of Rank V soldiers i decided to finally start taking over cities and fighting the Roman republic. I recommend these strategies but the Former requires a skilled Gladihopper user whilst the Latter you need to hit and run enemy towns

Or u could,y'know:Just use ur best general when the battle is easy,and 1-3 of ur best units for cannon fodder and ur general after that,depending on how hard the battle will be lol.Its all about strategy man;)

Also:The ptolemaic kingdom spear general in the 2nd army(aka ptolemy of cyprus)is completely BROKEN lol.Like he's the best general of them all,because:Most of the enemy aren't spearmen,so u can just hit-and-run pretty much everyone with him,and use 1-3 nile spearmen for cannon fodder against stronger armies,and then put him to come in AFTER them to clean up lol,because spearmen are the strongest units when it comes to the campaigns lol,especially that spear general lol.
As for the other campaigns just use spearmen and their strongest generals(aka the ones in the 1st armies/regiments)and u should be fine lol

This game mode was just a little test for me to see if I could make something like this... I'm moving on from Gladihoppers for now but in the future I'm hoping to make a full scale game out of this :)
@@and3rs Hmm.Well u know what I would like as a last update to this mode?Could u please make it so that,when u're in a battle,when u go all the way back to ur side,and touch the tree,a little button pops up,and u can switch out ur current injured fighter with another one?Because I hate constantly losing all of my generals when I can't even replace nor save them lol,and they're the best fighters in the game,both in terms of offense,defense and health lol

This mode is INSANELY confusing for three reasons.
1) When you are not spectating and commanding an army it auto battles anyone who attacks it so when you switch back to that army you are like “Where the hell did it go?” or “Why is half my army missing” or “Where is the person who attacked it (since you can’t spectate cities an enemy could be alive and capturing all your cities whether they are defended or not)?”
2) It kind of ties to the first reason but you can’t zoom out and see the whole map and make decisions that way.
3) You don’t get alerted when an army gets attacked or one of your cities. It’s bad because I like to make large, powerful armies and after that I use them to guard un defended cities and if they get destroyed by someone or somebody goes right past I loose like two cities before I figure out what happened and chase the fool down forcing me to spend a lot of time recapturing my cities.

Yeah, there are tons of improvements that could be done for sure... I'm making a new game now inspired by this game mode that will expand on it a bit and add some story elements to it as well :D

Hello, the creator of my favorite Android game! The last update is awesome! But I remember in older versions the brutality was better. I want to say that before the weapon after the battle could be in the blood and the limbs and gladiators snorted into the sky. Now this is not there. Perhaps due to the limitations of Play Google. But if you could add a version where it all is, that would be awesome. And so on more weapons and it would be possible to play for Caesar in the new mode.

Love the game mode but can you add system where you can command a your army to stay put and defend I always award situation where I can't find a a legion group only to find out they wander towards enemy territory. (ps love the game hope you don't get overwhelmed from our suggestions.)
U do realize that u can just hit the left and right arrows in the upper middle of the screen to switch between legions right?Like:Lol.U can also create new armies if u have enough towns and money,so yeah lol
