I'm thinking that a float would be a good idea to put on your new crab gauge...🤔✌️😎
Not a bad idea!
Beautiful body of water, thanks for taking us along
Nice. The gunny sack is a good idea, if you dip it in water, your crabs will stay much cooler. Tight lines
Good call!
you are great at what you do, even not slipping up and giving your location.
Nice day of crabbin'! Mission accomplished. 👍
Great catch! Fun video! Wish you showed a cook! Fun video! Thanks!
Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸 extra large Dungenes crabs 🦀 indeed! Nice work on this video. Cheers 🥂
Thanks for watching!
Nice catch.
Great day. Yum...crabs. Unfortunately, the ones available at the market have been on the smaller size but still delicious. Lucky friends.
You got it Done!
Prolly good idea to make a checklist when targeting crab next time 😅. Seems like the universe really wanted to make sure you had a challenging trip.
Speed-crabbing! Nice!
noice!! stuck with fresh frozen...one day we shall hit the coast again !!
If you soak a burlap beg the evaporation refrigerates
That’s how we packed crayfish in the delta. Big totes with alternating layers of wet burlap and crawdads. Made up 80 lb boxes.
We used burlap bags for fish its like a refrigerator
party boat usual in SoCal
Thanks for the tip!
That’s one thing that drives me nuts, forgetting something I need while out on the water. Now the things I need like my measuring devices never leave my truck!!!! Good job man.
It all depends on what your kayak can handle and what you are comfortable with
Sure miss that old dock at your launch point... Iconic. Nice work tho!
Congrats on your fishing adventure 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈
Next catch and cook!
Epic trip!! Catch a 40 inch halibut!!! I hope you do
Adam, there's an old saying: ' It's not just a job, it's an adventure.' I think you proved that this time.😊
How about a video of the crab fried rice❤ that sounds amazing
It is!!!
Easy work for a half limit!
I love crab...lobster...shrimp and scallops! Wish I lived where I could fish for seafood 😢
ACE hardware in HMB has tackle supplies, at least last year when I was there and opens at 7am weekdays
Nice catch! What date did you film the content?
Now I'm craving crab fried rice...
For anyone watching, the liquor store across the harbor entrance on Highway 1 has some plastic gauges, plus squid, and a few other fishing tackle. They open before ACE hardware and the bait shop in the harbor.
They were out of gauges when I went there!!!
'Putting all my eggs into one basket"
"except I forgot the eggs AND the basket"😣🤣
lololol
I like that you're not easily discouraged. Would you have harvested crab without the gauge had you not been filming?
Nope! Always need my gauge!
Make a video of the crab fried rice!
What kayak are you using? I was thinking about picking up a Old Town Autopilot but I cant really make up my mind.
Does promar make the eclipse hoop nets .they collapse and work the same
I'm not sure!
Is that the led core line and if so how much a foot does it cost ?
Wow they are still around
Yep!
Hi, I just kept waiting for you to drop your new gauge over the side just to cap off the day. Glad you didn't but you need a float hooked on that thing just in case.
Good call!
what's the typical good weather to go out on the kayak and at what wind speed would you start heading back in?
The ocean will let you know
I live 3.5hrs away from the ocean. I'd rather know before I make that drive
man i hate for other to steal the idea but i got one of the float pads and cut 2” off and then cut that in half so its 24”x 36” ish and its 2 layers and i tow that with 4 cages behind me 🤷🏻♂️ i dont go far oceanside harbor is not big and nor is newport beach
What radio channel do you run?
Most kayakers use channel 69
Hey bruh where’s that monthly hally 😊
Bad news...
Bait shop sells gages
Rock 🪨 crab 🦀 is 4 inches to keep and you can keep male and female up to 35 a day 🍻
In Oregon you can only keep 15, any sex any size.
@@calvinsplan4774 yessir, the rule I said applies to SoCal, not sure about NorCal
How long ago was this video taken? I’m gauging if crab season is pretty much dried up or not.
not long ago!
tie the crab gauge to your kayak maybe?
Not a bad idea!
$100 worth
Nice Catch Adam! Nice Paycheck for something you Love doing !💰 🎣
Pssst, what's in the Box? I won't tell.😂
Adam if you are going to have friends over for a Crab dinner , all you have to do is film it and you have a catch clean and cook video??? I don't understand why you don't do them ??? People love catch clean and cooks videos! I am sure you would get more subscribers and views. Just try it a few times and you will see. 😮😢
I will do more but they don't generally perform as well as my regular fishing videos so I only do them every once in a while.
...who is the "riff raff"?
...maybe the people who forget their gauge?
@@TheLegobug The people who drop right on top of your gear because they don't have clue & they think you do.
you dont eat the body?
Use a dollar.
Dollars shrink overtime.
Adam like a crab if a lower rib bone is removed from a human body. It can grow back. Google it. Before you comment
interesting!
Once you pump to sponsors you're done!
better be organic chicken! /sarc I usually load up most of my stuff the day before then go by my mental checklist before I leave. It works for this old guy
I might have to start doing that too!!!
Nice work!!!!
Can you test liver for crab bait? I think that the iron in the meat will attract crabs very well.
I think that liver might be to easy for crabs to eat fast & boogie because its so soft, but I don't know. It might work great.
Great suggestion!
