  • A short video on how to find the prime form of a pitch-class set. To get the most from the video, you should be familiar with pitch-class integers, clock faces, transposition and inversion of pitch-class sets, and normal order.

You are a lifesaver; I've been struggling with prime form in theory for weeks, and now it's really clicking!

Excellent video! I'm studying for my DMA quals (theory is my related field) and this was exactly the concise reminder I needed. Bravo!

Thanks! Been trying to get a start on set theory, and this is really clear. Hadn't heard of the clock face method.

Hi, your method are fast, but how about if the number is 8,9,11,0,1,4,5? the prime form is 0124589, and not 0134589? So bit risky in that way.

A little bit old but se my post above. I managed to get the right result using your set.
