But as a pondering and philosophizing penguin, I find it hard to live in a world where stiffling those who have different opinions and experiences than my own. How am I supposed to learn from others if I simply assume anyone different is not worth my time... not even to get into the extent of how that in group mentality begins to belittle the other...
To respond to your question "When has anyone in the LGBTQ+ community ever entered a conversation with the mindset that they want to learn how to better exist with those outside community", the answer is "all the time, just not on the internet". People I've met irl that don't spend all day on the internet have been incredibly chill
The problem with the idea that "Disney suffered damages" (either financially or just in PR) and that's why they had to let Gina go regardless of what _they_ thought of what she said is that under that definition, Disney could suffer damages - and therefore be forced to let someone go - just for having a white guy in their employment. All people have to do is kick up a big enough fuss and that guy's gone, even if he's the whitest knight you ever saw. If the fans want more "diversity" employed at Disney, then it doesn't matter how much virtue-signalling he does, he's gone if they say so. It's simply not a standard that can be sustained even to the benefit or advantage of the people pushing for that standard
