80 के दशक में मैंने सिंगापुर और मलेशिया की यात्रा की, जहाँ मैंने महिलाओं को मालवाहक सामान और स्थानीय बसें चलाते देखा है। मुझे ईर्ष्या महसूस हुई और मैंने सोचा कि काश हमारी महिलाएं भारत में इस तरह की गाड़ी चला पातीं, और अब मुझे यह देखकर गर्व होता है कि भारतीय महिलाएं न सिर्फ ट्रक और बस चला रही हैं, बल्कि लोकोमोटिव ट्रेन भी हैं। मैं उन्हें प्रणाम करता हूँ !

I am astonished that a woman driving a local EMU local train with confident after manage her daily household home work with confidence. I am eagerly waiting to see her at the time of motor woman in field, if I get a chance in future. I am from Chandernagore (formerly known as French colony) about 24 KM from Kolkata( Calcutta). It is not Diesel engine driver but electric engine driver.
Mumbai's local trains run by electric power not by diesel oil.
They mean to say that She is the first woman who drives a diesel engine in Asia.
she is the 1st women to drive diesel engine in asia now that she is married she only drives local electric trains so she can give time to her family but before she got married she used to drive diesel engines and go all over the india. hope that helps.
