I love how you and Dillon are so patient, teaching your daughter kitchen skills.
Fun fact! Dylan wanted to be a chef and actually went to culinary school for a short time before finances were too tight. I think that's why he loves cooking snd is so passionate about teaching the kids too.
@@karrielynnAww, love this!! Some areas offer fun cooking classes, you two could go together. Or what might be even better is picking a recipe once a week/month and cooking together as a family (you could even share it with us lol). That would probably be a core memory once the kids are older too, just as I'm sure they will remember the time they were sick so they all pitched in to help cook Thanksgiving.🖤😊

Thank you for being so responsible for keeping your relatives safe! My sister showed up to Thanksgiving dinner with my niece who was sick. Then my mom- who has cancer- got very very sick and we almost called 911. I wish people would realize not everyone has a child’s immune system.

I get nervous when I’m filming while I’m shopping too.
When there’s a lot of people, I strategically place my phone in the seat, part of the cart, so it records the things I put into the cart then I don’t have to worry so much about the people around me, and a lot of times don’t realize I’m even filming 🙃

We put our tree in front of the window. And at night it is so pretty from outside when it is lit up. Neighbors can enjoy it driving by. ❤

We have had the same tradition of each of us picking out a new ornament every year for 30 years. It’s very special when you take them out each year to remember when .. my husband died in July ( not being a Debbie downer) and I can’t bring myself to take the ornaments down this year but I know they will be special for years to come . And! Love your tree and rug and everything you do . Love your channel 🎉🎉
Tell Dylan, he’s a trooper. I’m 70 and I’ve always have done the decorating. Jim will bring in the boxes but the rest is my job. I’m not putting up as much as I’ve done before but it will still be pretty.

This happened to us last year. My sister and her family came all the way from Canada, who we hadn't seen since 2019, and my brother came from California, but the week of Thanksgiving we all got Covid and had to stay home. It was so depressing, but my hubby, kids, and I just switched gears and made do on our own.

Your Thanksgiving dinner looked great. It made me hungry again. Your daughter may be able to help more next year. I love the white towels. But living in Georgia I can’t use white. I only have brown towels in my bathrooms. And sometimes m granddaughters wash their faces with something and turn my brown towels orange. I don’t think she was ready for the couch sliding back. I took my fall decor down, except for the stems I have on my kitchen peninsula. I don’t have anything else to go in there yet. My couch cushions squish in so bad. And I have small dogs. Two are less than fifteen pounds, one is a little over twenty. I have to rearrange them all the time. And fluff them up. I just told my husband I want all my Christmas stuff out of the shed. You are a brave soul to shop on Black Friday. I don’t go out of my house. The stores around me are crazy all the time. I can’t imagine what they are like around Christmas. I don’t shop long when I go to Ross. But I love that bowl. So I might. Looks like we’ll be going to Hobby Lobby too. I collect snow globes and I see a lot of them there. Don’t feel bad, I can’t sing either. I try and I stink. I bought a tree collar last year for the bottom of our tree. My dogs will pee on a skirt. I have three male dogs. And they love to pee on everything.

Hahahaha Zoe. My dogs always get trippy when the Christmas tree comes in and up here as well. Its like they're thinking, wait we can't bring sticks in house but y'all bring a whole damn tree! But once it's done those tails wag and they love napping underneath it. ❤

I so want to try your hubby’s turkey! I had to laugh when you were talking about putting stuff back at checkout. I do think I have finally figured it out tho, at least as far as decor : Whenever I find myself tempted to buy a piece of decor I ask myself if I LOVE it. If the answer is no I put it back. At 65 I have “curated” a house filled with pieces I love that I’m not even tempted to swap out. Love your videos. You are gorgeous.

I appreciate that you thought of others and being sick and not wanting to spread. I wish more people were like you. I have had people shoe up to my house sick, and not tell me. As well as, go to family holidays where people showed up sick. I get nervous during the holidays because Christmas 2020 our entire family shared covid and scared us beyond belief.
I don’t think the tree is small at all. I think it’s going to look very beautiful. Once you get it all decorated and all the above it’s gonna look great.

We have a very large family. So many had the stomach bug we had to cancel Thanksgiving this year. Just couldn’t take a chance.
First of all, Karrie,I love the way you did your makeup at the beginning of the video. Soooo pretty on you. Second, we used to always have a real tree when my boys were young. They're a lot to keep up and trying to remember to keep them watered was the only thing I hated about having a real tree. They smell good too. Third and last, your kids are only young once and they will remember that as much as helping decorate the tree. Enjoy and take care.

We did too, we had "the vid," couple weeks back then started picking up every-little-thing, but I made my first turkey. And I gotta say (not to toot my own horn) it was very good (... but Toot-Toot!! 😂). I'm very surprised and pleased that for my 1st it wasn't like the Christmas Vacation movie turkey 😂 Im still not the matriarch in my family (Thank Goodness) and my uncles smoke like Dylan does, so I've never had to make one. Sorry, I'm winded... What I mean to say is...
