When we saw this in he theatre, people went nuts. They should have stopped the movie to let people compose themselves and then resume it. A classic.
I love how inspector Clouseau calls the old receptionist an idiot and the old guy is not fazed by it in the slightest
I am in tears whenever I watch this. Possibly one of the funniest scenes in Cinematic History. Peter Sellers was a comedic genius.
This will never not be funny.
My grandmother's all time favorite joke, and it deserves that honor. Happy Birthday, Nan-Nan. I miss you.
I’ve only seen this clip 35 or 90 times... just doesn’t get old.
Just in case you come across a person with a dog, ALWAYS ask, “Does THIS dog bite?” Better to be safe than sorry!!! 😂😂😂😂
What makes comics like him and John Cleese special is no matter how many times you watch them, you still laugh. The British have the best comedy.
The suddenness of the dog's attack is brilliant!
One of the funniest scenes ever!
From being cordial to calling him an idiot in less than a minute. Genius comedy!
I have told this joke to my students. They just laugh every time, and it never gets old. Peter Sellers is hilarious!
"I thought you said your dog does not bite!"
I don't laugh out loud very often, but when I do, Peter Sellers is nearby.
This still cracks me up all these years later, especially the ferocity of the tiny 5 lb dog! LOL
I start laughing as soon as he enters the door. :)

This scene has a special place in my heart from gradeschool.......smile.
The late, great Peter Sellers was comedic gold. Hollywood should forget about ever producing another remake. No one will ever come close to playing Clouseau as well he did.
One's French. The other German. So of course they both speak in English.
