    USA. I have never noticed before that your cute accent sounds like Trixie on Call the Midwife. ADORABLE. I like how you added the powders--they really stand out against the black. I love that it is much easier than foiling. What a simple technique. I didn't know that I can add Distress Ink to the paste!! So I can make just about any color I want....I am SO glad that I saw your video!!I have agonized over choosing just the right colors of paste before, now I know that I can make colors myself. YAY. The colors on the black paper--with the resist, is so cool. I have some of those colors, now I know what to do with them...The black and white backgrounds are a nice idea. This is so artsy. WOW, that is a lot of foam!! I have never seen a huge roll like that. I am going to look for it. I use a lot of foam tape.

    Thank you for making this video. Finally I know how to use my Pearl Ex powders. I've had them for 15 years, but I have not used them. I've tried them, but it just didn't stick to my paper, the irony here is that my Versamark inkpad is that old to, but I never figured out that was what is supposed to make it stick. I did buy the perfect pearls probably in 2007, same thing, I just couldn't make it sit on my paper even thought there is a simular inkpad attached to the set, and I used it together. The set of 24 colours of Pearl Ex was so expensieve that I had to save up money for it for months, but the instructions in the pack was no good. I just didn't understand the words, and there was no youtube back then on this, and then I completely forgot about them. I don't know where I have them, probably in a box somewhere in my old room in my mothers house along with a bunch of other craft supplies that didn't add up to the expectations. The shop were I bought it probably had a product demo on this, but by the time I could buy it I had forgot how they did it. I will have to digital into my old craft cemetary and start looking up videoes on how to use them. Thanks again for doing this video, I learned so much, and the best thing is that I can always go back to this video when ever I need to refresh my memory, it's like having the demo lady sitting there to tell me how to use the stuff I own.

    Do you need to spray this powder lightly with water to set it like you would with Perfect Pearls, or does it set without needing the spraying and heat setting? I noted that you mentioned a fixative, but I prefer not to use hairspray as it can yellow over time.

    • @HedgehogHollow
      @HedgehogHollow  Před 6 lety +1

      Never tried water, but you could use an artist grade fixative, which wouldn't yellow over time. Hope that helps!

    • @HedgehogHollow
      @HedgehogHollow  Před 7 lety +1

      Natalie R I've never had an issue. I use a high quality spray like tigi or elnette. Cheaper ones may cause a problem. You can also use a spray sealant

      It's from an Indian company but they will ship to the USA www.hndmd.in/craft-supplies/stencils/craftangles-6x6-stencil-leafy-background-ctcs22
      Alternatively SSS have a great selection of similar designs in this link www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=1454377&b=199868&m=24698&afftrack=&urllink=https%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Esimonsaysstamp%2Ecom%2Fsearch%3Fcurrency%3DUSD%26q%3DLeaf%2Bstencil

    I don't see a link for the art squeegee you used in the second technique and I'm not having much luck on amazon, so if you would give us a link, that would be terrific - thanks!

    There is a difference between Pearl Ex and Perfect Pearls, Perfect Pearls has a binder and won't rub off when done this way but Pearl Ex will rub off without a fixative...
    Pretty cards...!!

      Also Perfect Pearls becomes permanent with a quick mist of water. Perfect Pearls doesn’t but can be mixed with pastes, paints etc. where Perfect Pearls doesn’t work as well with them.

    Could you not simply add glitter to a spackeling compound?

    • @HedgehogHollow
      @HedgehogHollow  Před 5 lety

      You could, but that would not be the same as moonstone; this is a translucent paste that takes on any color added to it or underneath it
