Ville needs to go. If they keep him, we won't be seeing the Wings in the playoffs if they put him as a primary. We need to go to our youth, we really do. I can see Lyon as a backup, but ONLY in that role, unless of course he carries the team like he did this past season. Husso needs to be a backup somewhere else. We've seen enough of him. He hasn't performed as expected.
@@heresJohnny73but let's be honest with each other. Is losing Larkin really an excuse to lose that many games in a row? If that's the case, then this team is in more trouble than I thought.
I would be looking into trading, Ville. We might have to retain salary. The Wings should go after a more established starting goalie. Lyon could back up.
I would like to see them go after Saros in Nashville. He has a year left at $5M. He and Lyon would be a great tandem while Cossa could spot start for exposure. I also like the idea of Markström from Calgary. He has 2 years left at $6M per. I like him for the same reason as above. The bridge to Cossa (hopefully)
@@Hairy_Melon Gibson currently make 6.4 million a year and is an UFA 2027-2028 season I believe. Saros would be a cheaper currently at 5 million UFA in 2025
@@jimjohnson9808 my worry with any of these choices it that it take away from what is really needed, which in my opinion is a couple of good defenders, or a good 200’ center. I think k the goalies hold their own with proper defensive play in front of them.
Wille, somewhat frustrating to hear that the staff thought you were not keeping your manners. You are thus the second in two years of our goalkeepers to be burned out by the team's own staff. Looking forward to next year already, partly to see if you still stand by the expression - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger (I don't believe in it). Some fans are already seeing this with Alex e.i. 😭😭😭
You don’t know what you’re talking about. Huss was good his first year here, then he got hurt this year so of course his play was affected because of it lol
Don’t you think it’s obvious he played bad at the beginning of the year cause of injuries? People forget how good he was his first year here. Amazes me how fast people are turning on this dude for having a down injured year lol
@@Thrashman-ye4cf No if he was injured then he wouldn't have been playing when they have better goalies in Lyon and Reimer who both suck but are better than Husso.
Excited for the Cossa era to begin in the next couple years
Good guy, but has been pretty disappointing since he signed
So sad. We were very excited to have you Husso and don't blame you one bit.
Hes back ❤❤❤ im so happy next season will be amazing lgrw

You think we won’t be seeing the playoffs with him, but we WILL with a like 22 year old rookie Cossa?
Won't be making the playoffs next year anyways with the garbage patch.
@@Ryan-yi5ro you say it's the patch like we didn't lose Larkin at the same time as the skid same thing in December we lose Larkin and skid
They won't make playoffs next year. The Yzerplan has had fun ve years and we still aren't there. I loved him as a player, but it's just not working!

Thoughts on Gibson?

Wish I was paid millions to be a pylon for a couple games.
Should have pursued professional sports then.

You won't have much choice. He's under contract.
Played more games in the nhl than you...but you know his body and how the nhl works better yeah?
Everybody forgets how good Husso was last year. He had a down year with injuries. It’ll be okay.
