- Färnebofjärden National Park is about 2 hours drive from Stockholm (Sweden). It's one of my favourite places for paddling and it's worth the drive! This time I camped overnight and had a wonderful sunset in my Oru kayak before bedding down on island Sandön. Färnebofjärdens nationalpark är bara 2 timmar från Stockholm med bil. Det är ett av mina favoritställen för paddling och värd bilresan. Looks like some beautiful paddling evenings with great reflections on the calm flatwater! Must have been a great trip. How much trouble did the mosquitoes give you?
Without mosquito hat and covering clothes it might not have been bearable. On a previus trip I could hardly assemble my kayak (usually 15 min.) as I was pestered by the mosquitos. Better bring too much protection than too little!
I should add that paddling is fine! No insects away from land.
@@kikikajak1020 Indeed, I hear that area is particularly bad this year, though they've air-bombed against mosquitoes for things to be bearable.
