My favourite cassette tape album by the Oroonies. Their superb O'Keefe's is the best version I've ever heard. Country livin'...

Amazing! Last time I listened to this I was dancing around in the living room of a converted chapel in Bethesda North Wales, probably on white cider and spliff, with the mother of my now 25 year old son...

So sad seeing everyone’s comments here about their disintegrating cassettes. Back in the 90s I feared those precious cassettes would eventually wear out, with no sign of the Oroonies releasing them on more stable formats. So I backed up all their cassettes onto minidisc in hope of preserving those amazing albums. So glad I did. But hey, my cassettes are still playing just fine, for now. Who knows how much longer they will last? But I’ve got the minidisc copies as a backup anyway. ❤️

Feckin' great to hear this again since '93, around a few squats in Kilburn, West Hampstead etc. Cheers for uploading Static Jedi. Thank fuck I never chucked my DIY cassettes in a skip, must find it. Gold dust for ears, not for profit.

Oh happy day! My old tape is stretched and riddled with flaws, to find this is a joy. Nice one!

Anyone know if the second song is based on the traditional reel “Dunmore Lassies”?

it's similar isn't it but no. I'm not sure if this is the right name, but we always called it Paddy Casey asnd I've no idea where it came from apart from around some campfire.
