look into Anthony Farrer scandal in the U.S, they do this in every industry. Basically they use money from customers to pay other debts back they have from x,y,z business or so. Means they never have any real own cash laying around. Very hard to get these scumbags held accountable.

This is exactly why I do my own work on my vehicles! Truly the only way you can guarantee that the work will be done right and the right parts are put on! Not to mention the great sense of pride that comes along with building/fixing your ride and accomplishment! Honestly to many CZcamsrs out there that talk about how they "built" their whip and going on and on about it, bro you didn't build shit a shop "built" it! I just don't get it! @@therealjimshady100 even a hiding doesn't always stop 'em though, some people are just incapable of doing the right thing. I know of one guy who would move between different makes and models various car communities one after the other. He would get properly into the group, post on all the forums, give good advice etc etc so people generally trusted him as knowledgeable and a good communicator etc etc. Then people would start buying used parts and stuff off him, and sending him expensive stuff like engines for rebuild, that'd be all fine for a few months too then *boom* all of a sudden the guy would just go rogue, take money and not send the item, either lose their engines or ask for money to buy loads of parts, keep fobbing people off with excuses then eventually ghost. I know for a fact he had people come round and deal out punitive justice, but a couple of years later he'd shrugged it off and was back at it again but this time with Mercedes instead of Jaguar or whatever brand he'd been messing with last.

Had a similar thing happen to me, told 2 weeks, car was 4 hours away. Ended up getting it back 6 months later, luckily the engine build I paid for was decent but, the rest was horrid,
Rebuilt gearbox was knackered, custom exhaust was trash, such a horrible situation to be in. I paid upfront and regretted it. If you go somewhere look to see how many cars are in bits and ask about before parting with your hard earned.

Karma is often releied upon to make right these sorts of situations, however can often leave us frustrated. Such a sad position to be in but this may turn in a way you would never expect. Just don't let Cal drain anymore of your good energy and time. It wall all come good.

Nah its not because there are thousands of people that dont know what hes on and a scammer will carry on scamming. People like this need to be taught a lesson. They need big fine or prison and to be on some register of fraudsters.
Mate, had exactly this myself before. Dropped my car off for an engine swap/repair. Didn’t here anything for months.. went to the garage where I left it.. it wasn’t there, not only that but he no longer owned the garage. Found his address to find my garage in a shed growing mould, neighbour tells me he’s gone awol as he owes people money.
Manage to get hold of his dads number about a year later to arrange recovery, he then says I owe him money for the work he’s done. I explained the situation and that half of the engine was missing, ecu missing, damage to the car, mould, no key etc.
Long story short I went down with a recovery truck and took the car back… ended up being a write off.
Look forward not back as they say and and least you can share the experience to stop this happening from other people!

Man I’ve been there with a Maryland based VW shop. I was halfway around the world and the people involve stop taking calls. Law enforcement couldn’t help because I left the car in a garage in one city, my car was found at the VW shop in another city I didn’t take it to, then relocated to 3rd city and hidden at the shop owners home garage. So after sending my boys the shop owner took my calls after my car was recovered with a wrecker that shady shop paid. He said I should be careful where I leave my car. I said it’s not like a misplaced die cast hot wheels. You don’t just find and keep a whole car. Then I said lucky for you, you didn’t try to dump it somewhere because my boys where there to collect and I believe you got too much dirt in your shop to call the police for help. Talented VW tuner but trash business practice.
Everyone else who has their car there needs to go get it back. The guy is a con artist, a scam, a fraud, and he needs to be stopped. Absolutely disgusting that this goes on still.

A tuning company I took my car to completely trashed my twin turbo 350Z. I bought a custom, fully uprated low compression bottom end from USA. Sent all ancillaries, full gasket set, oil cooler, uprated thermostat, uprated rad and fan, everything they needed. Kept over heating and they kept bleeding the system. I asked if they changed the head gasket and they said of course. Anyway, couldn't solve the overheating so I sold it for next to nothing. Guy who bought it sent me pictures - they re used the old head gasket and the head was warped. I loved that car and I'd still have it if it wasn't for those morons. That thing was built for 1000hp. That was more than 10k down the shitter.
We need a part 4. This serial conman must payback all his victims
