Heck yeah. Pro press and pex a are a plumbing game changer
Great tool. Plumbers should love it.
every shower i do i use a plumber to install valves, just never done it before but im starting to think of doing it myself. so you can do a complete valve switch with no soldering? usually most lines here are copper.
You have to cut the old pipes then solder two adapters, one for the hot and one for the cold. Then its Pex the rest of the way.
You do still need to sweat a tub spout, but everything else is pex.
Pex A is more flexible, if it kinks you can repair it with heat. The inside diameter of the fittings are larger than pex B fittings so there is no flow restriction, it’s a lot less likely to leak, and if a fitting starts to leak you can generally use heat to stop the leak. Pex A is also much quicker and easier to install, especially great for apprentices, it is a lot easier to get a good connection all you have to do is make sure the fitting is in all the way as opposed to pex b where you can get a bad crimp, by not having your crimps adjusted right, crimping the ring at an angle, and crimping the ring too close to the edge or too far back. Pex A is just all around a better product, better looking, and more reliable.
How does the DeWalt compare to the Milwaukee tool ?
sadly head to head videos don't exist for these. all biases from red and yellow fans. the m12 standard or FUEL vs the dce400 OR the M18 pro pex vs the new DCE410 XR brushless expansion tools. I especially want to see the newer ones. the brushed m12 and brushed dce400 (from this video) are tested and trusted I just wanna see the claims of 20, 30, 35% increases in performance or speed be put to the test.
Bruh this tool is years old already. Why dont you review the dce410 that just camer out?
You only need to expand 6 or 7 times. Over expanding it like that can cause leaks
faster, and the biggest benefit is the water restriction that comes with pex B, the connections are much smaller diameter and restrict water flow. Im gonna switch as well to pex b, i like to install my tubs, shaower bases and valves my self.
Why would you want water restrictions?
Lol this must have been hos first time using one.
Pex B has waterfowl restrictions, so it's not a wise option.
Those are 1/2” 3/4” and 1” heads wtf you talking about lol
