Amanda my heart goes out to you every time you mention your mum and Dad. It’s tough and I think you and your mum are amazing. It’s tough for your Dad I know however he has help even if he doesn’t react well to it.
I’m not surprised your foot isn’t healing. I’m sure stress hasn’t helped, but I know from experience the thought of not trying to help your parents in their time of need would have more of a negative effect.
Your stitching as ever is amazing and you certainly are on a finishing role at the moment. I hope you ride the crest of that wave for a good while yet.

So sorry to hear your dad is getting worse. I’ve been in the same situation with my mum and it is horrible. I sincerely wish you Gods blessing, for you, you dad ánd your mum! It is awful to loose your best friend in live this way😢.

My husband came in the room while I was watching you, and he sat down to listen. We both love your accent. He is 1/4 Scottish. He doesn’t understand flosstube so he asked if I was able to talk to you & would you answer me. I said yes, I can leave a comment & she responds. I’m not sure he got the concept. I think he thought it was live. Lol. But he was really interested.
This year I'm substituting from my floss stash as much as I can when stitching. I'm in several clubs so like you I have a lot😁 Great video!
I'm trying to do the same. That's why I reorganised my thread box. For me, there is no point in being in a thread club if you don't use the thread. Happy stitching 🧵
@@AlbaStitcher I have my floss organized like you do except for my DMC. Changing it seems overwhelming to me. I have been considering that organizing my fancy flosses by color within each one might make it easier to choose when substituting 8nstead of alphabetical or numbers. That would make it cumbersome to know what I have. I don't know, how to think on it.
You are setting the bar for 2023 quite high. 3 finishes and you are going to FFO one yourself. Yikes!

Hi Amanda. So sorry that you and your family continue to struggle with health issues. I know how hard it is to watch a parent decline and what a toll it takes on everyone. My Mom was the same way with my Father. She insisted on being his sole caregiver and would accept very little, if any help, for so long but eventually she realized that it would be better for her and him to have help. I hope that your Mom gets to that point sooner than later. Your positive attitude continues to amaze me and we all need to take a page out your book!!! Best wishes to you for your leg and to your Mom and Dad. And of course, your stitching is always beautiful and I generally am enabled by you😘

I also this week just got some colourworks and I also love the lobster claw, and my second favourite is also marmalade!! Also bought with Halloween in mind !
I hope your leg is feeling better and healing soon, and also sending the best wishes for your parents, I also understand this trouble with age and decline and hope nothing serious happens, leave notes where possible IE near cooker etc if they get the mind fog, it can be so frustrating for them but try plan safety wise for the worst case scenario. Also enjoy the party!!

Hi Amanda! I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's decline. God bless your mom. She must be such a comfort to your dad as he becomes more unsure of things each day. And what a comfort you must be to your mom. Just knowing you are there must be a relief to her. I feel so bad for all the troubles and loss your family has been going through🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Hooray for Quakers!
