Victor Martinez is a lightweight mixed martial artist. I had the pleasure of sitting down with him and discussing his fighting career. From him humble upbringing, to his debut in the UFC, Victor shares his experiences and gives us an glimpse into the life of a UFC fighter. Victor was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, the south most region in the United States. Growing up in Pharr, Tx., Victor never had an interest in combat sports until his junior year in high school where he was inspired by the movie Never Back Down, to give it a shot. He first dabbled in Jiu Jitsu, then eventually made the switch over to MMA. He currently trains under Carlos Diego Ferreira, a long time UFC fighter, and 3rd degree BJJ black belt. This is a 4 part series of videos with Victor. I am very thankful for his time and his willingness to let us in to his world and life as a UFC fighter.
